As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for recognizing talent, I must say that the transformation of Jack Gleeson from the ruthless King Joffrey Baratheon to his new role in The House Of Guinness is nothing short of remarkable. Having followed his career since his days on Game of Thrones, it’s fascinating to see him step into a completely different character, immersing himself in a period piece that promises to be as captivating as the one he left behind.
In a mind-blowing transformation that left me utterly spellbound, I found myself staring at a Game of Thrones alum who was virtually unrecognizable while filming the captivating new series, The House of Guinness, on Netflix’s set.
The star was observed filming while wearing a complete historical outfit, leaving spectators astonished by his metamorphosis.
He gained significant recognition for portraying a ruthless adolescent monarch in the first three seasons of the television series, Game of Thrones.
However, his life was tragically cut short by consuming a laced pigeon pie during his very own wedding celebration.

On Monday, the actor once called King Joffrey from HBO’s Game of Thrones series was seen wearing mostly brown clothing.
He donned a pair of grey trousers, a brown and red patterned waistcoat with a matching brown jacket and a dark brown bowler hat.
Jack finished off his period look with long sideburns and wild hair.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Netflix is set to debut a new series titled “House of Guinness,” delving into the historical background of the well-known brewery’s family.
The series will unfold in both Dublin and New York throughout the 19th century, starting from a point following the demise of Benjamin Guinness, a man instrumental to the brewery’s initial prosperity.
The series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will chronicle the extraordinary success of the family behind the famous Irish brewery, which was founded back in 1759 by Arthur Guinness.
From my perspective as a lifestyle guide, beyond the glossy surface of affluence and success, there hides a heart-wrenching narrative of relentless hardship that has befallen this family.
The family has faced a string of heartbreaking events, ranging from Tara Browne’s death after a car accident in South Kensington, to scandalous scandals, divorces, and the unfortunate drowning of Honor Uloth at 19 years old in 2020.
Although the Guinness family now boasts a fortune exceeding £900 million, their personal hardships are so widely known that they are often perceived as being ‘afflicted’ or ‘blighted’, due to the notoriety surrounding their misfortunes.
Creator Steven Knight noted: ‘The Guinness family is globally renowned – their story encompasses wealth, poverty, authority, impact, and profound sorrow, providing a multifaceted backdrop for exploration.’
I’ve long been captivated by their tales, and I can’t wait to breathe life into these characters so everyone can enjoy them.
James Norton will stare alongside Jack as well as a host of famous faces.
In the upcoming production, Fionn O’Shea, known for his role as Daisy Edgar-Jones’ romantic interest Jamie in Normal People, will portray one of the Guinness family members. Additionally, Olivia Rodrigo’s partner Louis Partridge is also joining the cast.
The star-studded cast also contains Masters of the Air star Anthony Boyle, Emily Fairn who recently starred opposite Martin Freeman in The Responder, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O’Hara and Irish actress Dervla Kirwan.
Additionally starring Michael McElhatton, Danielle Galligan, David Wilmot (previously seen alongside Florence Pugh in The Wonder), and Hilda Fay, rounding out the stellar cast.
