This summer, the world of Game of Thrones is growing with a brand-new stage production. Called Game of Thrones: The Mad King, the show takes place before the TV series and will delve deeper into the histories of some well-known characters, portrayed by a new cast.
The cast for Game of Thrones: The Mad King has been announced! Several new actors will be playing familiar characters from the HBO series, including Michael Abubakar as Ned Stark, Maxim Ays as Jaime Lannister, Daisy Franks as Cersei Lannister, Callum Woodhouse as Robert Baratheon, Marcello Walton as Tywin Lannister, Marty Breen as Catelyn Stark, and Edem-Ita Duke as Oberyn Martell.
The cast also includes Miles Barrow as Benjen Stark, Islam Bouakkaz as Howland Reed, Richard Hansell as Grand Maester Pycelle, Daniel Hawksford as Ser Barristan Selmy, Alexander Newland as Lord Rickard Stark, Shaun Yusuf McKee as Ser Gerold Hightower, Highie O’Donnell as Lord Varys, Harmony Rose-Bremner as Lyanna Stark, Noah Ritter as Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, and Michael Schaeffer as King Aerys II Targaryen.
The cast also includes Elizabeth Ayodele as Princess Elia Martell, Luke Brady as Brandon Stark, Sebastian Charles as Owen Merryweather, Adrian Christopher as Prince Lewyn Martell, Fred Davis as Qarlton Chelsted, Mariah Gale as Queen Rhaella Targaryen, Tom Larkin as Lord Whent, Kel Matsena as Ser Arthur Dayne, and Huw Parmenter as Ser Oswell Whent – characters who didn’t appear in the TV series.
