Galactus’ Size In New Fantastic Four Clip Is Giving Me Nightmares
As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, I’m positively thrilled about the sizzling Summer 2025 film lineup, especially with the highly anticipated debut of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm in Marvel’s Phase Six extravaganza, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” I can’t help but wonder if I’m alone in finding it slightly unnerving to witness a human figure igniting into inferno-like flames and soaring through the sky. Yet, the latest sneak peek from this upcoming superhero blockbuster has stirred up something far more unsettling within me—it’s none other than the colossal villain Galactus who’s shaken my deepest phobias, sending chills down my spine and filling my mind with a nightmare-like scenario.
In the upcoming MCU entry, the infamous comic book villain Galactus, known for devouring worlds, is played by Ralph Ineson, who was also Nosferatu. Although only a small fraction of his colossal form has been shown in trailers and teasers since the first Fantastic Four trailer, directors Matt Shakman and team have delayed revealing more of him as long as they can. However, the latest TV spot offers a sneak peek that left me slightly bewildered. You can watch the entire video below!

As a movie enthusiast, just a brief glimpse of this upcoming film has sent my excitement soaring to unprecedented heights! The nostalgic ’60s ambiance, coupled with Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s relentless portrayal of The Thing tearing through concrete supports, is nothing short of captivating. To top it off, Reed showcases the limits of those unique costumes with his astonishing elastic powers. Needless to say, these positive elements have left me eagerly anticipating this movie, far from cowering in fear like I might in a claustrophobic bathroom closet!
The remarkable achievement is attributed to the swift shot in the video showing the Fantastic Car hurdling through urban streets, where Galactus’ head and body can be seen towering over distant skyscrapers.

If I were dwelling in a skyscraper and suddenly awoke to find Galactus’ ear filling an entire window pane, it would be enough to make me go completely bonkers, even though I’m not part of the Fantastic Four.
The sensation is similar to the unease I get when contemplating the vastness and significance of the universe, realizing how insignificant my small life seems in comparison. However, in this scenario, the universe is depicted as a helmeted alien who enjoys inhabited planets. Yet, my immediate courage or heroism would still be absent.
Matt Shakman has pointed out Galactus’ overwhelming size and the challenging concept of the colossal entity as a menacing presence. It’s undeniably scary to consider him potentially destroying our entire planet, but there’s something about his casual city stroll that feels less unsettling and more unnatural than it should be.

Even though it’s become common knowledge that I occasionally find myself in strange size-related predicaments, it doesn’t mean you should try to scare me with an optical illusion of my neighborhood using those Galactus popcorn buckets. I strongly recommend against doing so.
Don’t forget to go to the movies and watch The Fantastic Four: First Steps once it premieres in theaters on July 25, 2025.
