Galacticare Free Challenge Mode DLC Available Now With Deadly Diseases and Difficult Patients

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must admit that the new Challenge Mode for Galacticare has piqued my interest like never before. The promise of unforgiving gameplay and a steep learning curve is music to my ears, or rather, my controller buttons.

The fast-paced sci-fi hospital simulation game Galacticare has introduced a fresh Challenge Mode today for both Xbox and PC. This new mode raises the stakes significantly, as each game mechanism has been escalated to catastrophic extremes, making the gameplay even more demanding.

According to Creative Director Josh Bishop, the Challenge Mode is our way of catering to our players’ desire for increased difficulty. It’s been designed to be harsh and requires players to make full use of all available tools. This mode is meant for those who seek a more intense Galacticare experience.

Galacticare’s Challenge Mode presents tougher and highly contagious forms of illnesses, calling for increased efficiency in the Research Lab as you race against time to discover cures and minimize deaths. The patient population is significantly larger, which means dealing with crowds that can be demanding and inconsiderate, some of whom will deteriorate rapidly, necessitating top-tier medical care and treatments.

Beyond these challenges, patients are financially struggling, which means they have less money for medical expenses and a thrifty space trader who’s stingy with free goods. Moreover, advanced doctors can’t be hired directly, so you’ll need to educate them yourself. If the patient count drops too low, your hospital could face takeover by ‘Space Law Enforcement’. Alas.

The latest addition to the Challenge Mode DLC for “Galacticare” has been released and can be obtained for free on Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms, with a forthcoming release scheduled for PS5. Feel free to check out our “Galacticare review” here.
