Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony crashed by pro-Palestine and pro-Israel protesters

Just prior to Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame ceremony commencing on Tuesday morning, a group of around forty demonstrators marched onto Hollywood Boulevard, carrying signs. These protestors were members from both pro-Palestine and pro-Israel organizations, who vocalized their opinions, causing a delay in the induction ceremony for the “Snow White” actress.

Some people displayed signs saying “Heroes Act Like Palestinians” and “No Other Nation Has Ever Won an Oscar,” while others waved the Israeli flag.

At the location, law enforcement officials showed up following an incident where a supporter of Palestine was reportedly caught grabbing an Israeli flag, as mentioned by Variety. In a clip shared on X by Variety’s Katcy Stephan, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers are seen pursuing a man who is being chased by other protesters. Videos also show LAPD officers apprehending demonstrators. However, an LAPD public information officer informed The Times that no arrests were actually made.

Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of ‘Snow White’ has been encountering numerous challenges on its path to release next week, as it’s been beset by external issues at every turn.

39-year-old Gal Gadot, famously known for her role as Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe, became the first Israeli actor to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I’m just a girl from a small town in Israel,” she said amidst thunderous applause, expressing her disbelief at this moment. She had never imagined such an occasion and didn’t know that achieving stardom was even possible. … This star will serve as a reminder for her that with dedication, passion, and a little faith, dreams can indeed come true.

I had the pleasure of being at a ceremony where Steve Nissen served as the host. Notable figures like Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman’s director, and Vin Diesel from Fast and Furious were in attendance. Gal Gadot was accompanied by her four little girls and her husband, Jaron Varsano. What an incredible experience it was to be surrounded by such esteemed company!

The actor who portrays “Wonder Woman” (born and previously served in the Israeli Defense Forces) has consistently expressed her backing for her homeland since the Hamas-instigated assaults on Israel on October 7th. On March 4th, Gadot was honored with the Anti-Defamation League’s international leadership award.

During her keynote address at the ADL Never Is Now 2025 Summit, she stated that it was unthinkable to her that in cities across the United States and worldwide, individuals would not be condemning Hamas but instead celebrating, justifying, and encouraging a massacre of Jews.

This event occurs several days prior to the nationwide debut of Disney’s live-action “Snow White,” scheduled for release on Friday. From the controversy stirred by the casting of Rachel Zegler in the lead role, to the uproar over Zegler’s comments about the film, and the ongoing debate regarding the portrayal of the seven dwarfs, this remake has been at the center of numerous disputes.
