Okay, so NextNinja just announced they’re releasing a new RPG called Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs! It’s based on that awesome anime everyone loves. It’s coming out in Japan on November 6th. They were originally aiming for an early release this year, but sadly, there’s no word yet on when we outside of Japan will get to play it. Fingers crossed it comes to iOS and Android globally soon!

Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs is an RPG adventure game aimed at younger players. It features characters based on well-known authors – like Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryunosuke – who are students at a lively school. This game lets you see what their everyday school lives are like, something you don’t get to see in the main series.

This game is inspired by the popular manga and anime series, Bungo Stray Dogs (BSD), reimagining the characters as students and teachers. If you’re not familiar with the series, it was created by Kafka Asagiri. A unique feature is that each character is named after a famous author, and their special abilities are connected to that author’s works.

Players can engage in strategic battles and uncover secrets

I never expected to be playing a mobile game based on Bungo Stray Dogs, but I’m really excited about it! The story begins when you meet Nakajima Atsushi, and things quickly become mysterious after a black cat leads you into a forbidden building. This leads you to the Underworld, a bizarre place that bends reality, where a remarkable new life awaits.

Dive into a captivating story with over 20 distinct characters and solve the mysteries of the school as a member of the Twilight Investigation Club. The game also features exciting, turn-based battles with an optional auto-battle mode. With mini-games, adorable art, full voice acting, and original illustrations, this game looks very promising!

The mobile game Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs will be released in Japan on November 6, 2025, for both Android and iOS. Pre-registration is now available on the Google Play Store and App Store. More information about when the game will be available worldwide will be announced soon.
