Gail Kim deserves all the respect for her impactful career

As a gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of professional wrestling, I can’t help but feel a sense of admiration and frustration at the same time when it comes to Gail Kim. She’s a shining example of resilience, talent, and unwavering passion for the sport that has often fallen short in recognizing her greatness.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but reflect on the many talented wrestlers who didn’t get the recognition they deserved during their time in the ring. These were stars, often women, who shined brightly amidst an industry that was less inclusive and often hostile towards diversity, especially towards women. Many of these names were overshadowed, denied the chance to truly shine and make a lasting impact at the top echelons of wrestling. One such performer is Gail Kim, a forgotten talent whose skill and resilience never quite reached the peak in a major promotion.

Gail Kim’s wrestling journey spanned approximately 23 years, starting in December 2000 and concluding in September 2023. Throughout her career, she achieved a decent level of success, though she never held the industry’s top spot. Yet, she did secure several titles during her tenure. TNA provided her with a significant platform as the leading female wrestler, although TNA is not as influential today as it once was.

Nevertheless, Kim’s significant contributions to the industry warrant broader acknowledgment, as her potential impact continues to expand. In fact, it appears that Kim has assumed leadership roles following Scott D’Amore’s departure from TNA Wrestling.

And with TNA seeing an increase in engagement, partly due to its expanding partnership with WWE, it seems like the perfect opportunity for Kim to make a difference.

Gail Kim, in every aspect, deserves recognition as a Hall of Famer. Throughout her career, she has claimed 11 championship titles and is widely recognized as a trailblazer in women’s wrestling. It’s essential to honor her legacy with greater respect and admiration while there’s still time.
