Union and Wade began dating in 2008, and after some time, the ex-Miami Heat player chose to formalize their relationship by marrying his partner on August 30, 2014 at a small wedding in Miami.
Through their wedding, the prominent actress gained stepmother status to her husband’s children: Zaire (22 years old), Zaya (17 years old) – whom he co-parents with ex-wife Siovaughn Funches, and Xavier (10 years old) from a previous relationship with Aja Metoyer.
Apart from being a basketball legend, Wade has also taken on the role of a father figure for his nephew, Dahveon Morris, who is 21 years old. They have shared a bond that feels like family beyond just being uncle and nephew.
