Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman are married. A firestorm and a fancy hotel room sealed the deal
Shockingly, it seems that reality TV star Gabriela Windfy and stand-up comedian Robby Hoffman followed the universe’s lead by tying the knot in Las Vegas in January! They made a quick escape from their home in Los Angeles County during the destructive wildfires, even taking their cat along.
What a difference a fancy hotel room can make?
Escaping smoke, ash, and fire with one of Hoffman’s grandfather’s paintings and Windey’s podcasting equipment in their possession, the two embarked on a journey to Sin City on January 7th. In an interview published by Cosmopolitan on Wednesday, they revealed that they couldn’t find a hotel in Palm Springs, but Las Vegas had room for them instead.
At 7:30 in the morning, we arrived in Vegas, where we were provided with a luxurious penthouse suite,” Hoffman recounted to the magazine, further mentioning, “The room had an atmosphere reminiscent of a wedding venue. Gabby glanced at me and jokingly suggested, ‘Should we get married?’

But the final decision to walk down the aisle didn’t happen in that moment.
In August 2023, the pair made their relationship official. This happened prior to Windley’s participation in Season 3 of the popular Peacock show “Traitors”, following her appearances as a contestant on three shows within the “Bachelor” series (though she hadn’t quite reached the level of “Golden Bachelor”) and finishing as the runner-up against Charli D’Amelio during Season 31 of “Dancing With the Stars”. This was the season where “DWTS” switched to streaming exclusively on Disney+.
From the very start of our relationship, I’ve been harboring a secret intention to pop the question, Hoffman confided to Cosmo. Just a few days into our evacuation, I accelerated my initial plan to formally propose within a couple of months. As we lounged together in the hotel bed one morning, Windey agreed as I unveiled a custom-made crossword puzzle that read “Marry me, Gabby?” in its clues.
The wedding, which cost $799 all-in — thanks, Vegas — wound up happening that night, they said.

In simpler terms, Windey shared, “I visited department stores and the first dress I noticed on the mannequin was a delicate off-white lace one. I thought to myself, ‘This could be the one.’ It was the only one they had in stock. It was snug and seemed to emphasize my behind, but it was ideal. Everything just fit so effortlessly. It felt incredibly serendipitous, precious, and destined.
Their officiant wore red sneakers, Windey said. The wedding photographer was named Big Nate.
“Nate, our embodiment, perfectly encapsulated who we were. As we made our grand entrance to the song ‘H-O-T T-O G-O,’ Chappell Roan was orchestrating the entire scene. He’d instruct Robby, saying ‘Move an inch this way, now strike a pose.’ But Robby, with his natural coolness, would respond with a confident ‘I’ll do my thing.’

And then they were married. They’ve been together for about two years total, Windey said.
Upon returning, we found ourselves needing air purifiers for our feline companion, as Hoffman shared with Cosmo. Our home had managed to weather the event, and we were returning to whatever condition our neighborhood was in. We truly consider ourselves fortunate. The state of our house was uncertain, but all we knew was that we had each other, and in one another’s presence, we felt at home.
