Gabby Logan reveals delight over having daytime sex with husband Kenny after struggling with their libidos – as their son begs them stop discussing their ‘daily romps’

Gabby Logan shared that she and her husband, Kenny, are happily reconnecting and enjoying their intimacy again.

I was really surprised to hear the presenter, who’s 52, talk so openly about her relationship with Kenny, 53. Apparently, they’ve been having some difficulties lately because their sex drives haven’t been matching up, and she shared details about how they’ve been navigating that. It was a very honest conversation!

Recently, she revealed more details after her son, 20-year-old rugby player Reuben, asked her to stop talking about her intimate relationship with his father. He explained that she was discussing these private moments in a gym he uses.

Despite these challenges, Gabby shared that Kenny experienced erectile dysfunction following his prostate cancer diagnosis, and her own sex drive decreased during menopause.

The retired gymnast started experiencing perimenopause in her mid-40s, which led to a decrease in her desire for intimacy with her husband.

Gabby worried that sex might start to feel like an obligation instead of something fun, which had been her experience for a long time.

Gabby enthusiastically discussed the positive effects of orgasms in an interview with The Sun. She also explained her confusion about a change in her sex life, saying she’d had a loving and physically attracted relationship with Kenny, but couldn’t understand why her desire for sex had decreased.

Gabby’s friend, Mariella Frostrup, suggested she try hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Doctors confirmed Gabby’s hormone levels were very low.

She explained that while improving her libido was the main reason she started hormone replacement therapy, it wasn’t the only one; it played a significant role in her decision.

Gabby noticed a significant improvement in how she felt within weeks of starting hormone replacement therapy. She explained that once her sex drive returned, her and her partner’s intimate life improved, even including having sex during the day. She also added that there are unexpected benefits to having grown children and more free time!

A few years later, their satisfying sexual relationship faced another challenge. In 2022, Kenny received a prostate cancer diagnosis and underwent surgery to remove his prostate.

This can significantly impact a man’s ability to get an erection, and sometimes the problem doesn’t resolve itself. Kenny was fortunate that his erectile function eventually returned, but it took time.

In 2022, Kenny was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He received treatment and then had a successful surgery.

Last month, rugby player Reuben shared how learning about his parents’ personal life affected his career.

Reuben, a player for Sale Sharks who recently transferred from Northampton Saints, shared that his parents often discussed personal matters openly, which led to teasing from his teammates in the locker room.

While recovering, Kenny appeared on Gabby’s podcast, The Mid Point, and they openly talked about their intimate life. Their conversation touched on the fact that research shows a significant number of men – around 76 percent – experience erectile dysfunction after being treated for prostate cancer.

Their conversations, which Kenny and Gabby have also had with others, ultimately led to a positive outcome, though Reuben unfortunately suffered the most from the situation.

Reuben told The Telegraph he directly asked the person to stop, saying, “Can. You. Please. Stop.” He recalled being at the Saints gym when the podcast was played, and it was only his second or third month with the team at the time.

I hadn’t realized the podcast was released until I listened to it. I remember asking her, “What were you discussing online?”

She thought it was good, but I reminded her that with a teenage son playing rugby, she needed to consider the potential risks. I wondered if her experience at university with her friends had been different from mine, as I might have been more vulnerable in a similar situation.

Reuben made his comments playfully, and they followed Gabby’s accidental announcement that he was transferring to Sale in another interview.

Gabby mentioned that Reuben had some trouble with the podcast after she described Kenny as being fully recovered after his surgery.

Gabby shared that her son had asked her to stop discussing her personal life. He explained that his coworkers were playing clips of her conversations in the workplace dressing room, and he’d appreciate it if she could be more discreet.

‘And I’m like, “Actually Reuben, next week’s episode — just on that”.

‘We don’t just talk about my sex life, can I just say,’ Gabby clarified.

Meanwhile, Kenny did reveal that his sex life had gone downhill while he recovered from cancer.

Speaking on a podcast in 2023, he said he felt fully recovered, both physically and mentally, after six months.

Regarding intimacy, things haven’t been consistent. The surgeon estimated recovery could take up to a year and a half.

After about a month, I started to see some progress, and he was really pleased, saying it was ‘amazing.’ However, the improvement wasn’t happening consistently.

Kenny mentioned that many men rely on penis pumps to help restore normal erectile function.

In a 2022 podcast, Gabby playfully said to someone, ‘So you’ve been figuring out how to use your penis pump by yourself!’
