G2 revealed their football club – see what league G2 FC will be in

G2 Esports leads the path as the inaugural esports team in Europe’s Kings League, as their newly-established football club, G2 FC, prepares for the German stage of the tournament.

Team G2 FC will participate in a new German football league called the Kings League, which was established by Gerard Piqué in 2022. This is the sixth domestic league within the competition, joining Spain, the Americas, Brazil, Italy, and France. The league kicks off on April 12 with qualifying matches for the Kings World Cup.

In all, Kings League Germany will comprise eight teams, with G2 FC hailing from Berlin and boasting two locals at its leadership. Former Youth Bundesliga player Ron Stublla assumes the role of G2 FC’s manager, while Malik Haziavdic, a past member of the German National Futsal team, takes up the position of coach.

For the occasion of G2 Esports’ 10-year milestone, the football club unveils their latest announcement, signifying a step towards traditional sports. Their ambition is to gaze toward the future, with aspirations to carry on and broaden their growth trajectory.

10 years ago, the vision for G2 was to establish it as the ‘Real Madrid of esports.’ Our goal was to create a brand that’s not just competitive and successful, but also vibrant and engaging. We aimed to captivate and entertain our fans by weaving compelling stories and fostering a strong sense of community through our interactions. This is what Alban Dechelotte, the CEO of G2, shared about the company’s founding ideals.

A decade has passed, and today we’re known as the ‘Real Madrid of esports.’ It’s high time for us to elevate ourselves even more and strive to be recognized as the ‘G2 of all sports.’ Esports provides a distinctive means of bonding with and exciting our fervent supporters. Now is our chance to demonstrate to conventional sports how we operate, using the G2 approach.

At this current moment, there’s no disclosed information regarding the starting lineup. But, it was mentioned by the organization that they have finished their tryouts, and the unveiling of the team will occur shortly.

Where can you watch the G2 FC games?

In simpler terms, we’re bringing on board Reeze and Rumathra. They’ll both broadcast together all the G2 FC matches during the Kings League Germany on their individual Twitch streams.
