G2 Esports won the LEC Versus championship after a thrilling match against Karmine Corp, making this their tenth time in a row reaching the finals. The win gave Rasmus “Caps” Borregaard Winther his 16th championship in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), further cementing his place as one of the most successful players in the region.

Wow, G2’s match against Karmine Corp in the LEC Versus Grand Finals was a real rollercoaster! They looked strong getting through the first couple of matches, and I honestly thought they had it in the bag. But Karmine Corp really came alive, and for a moment, I thought they might actually pull off a comeback! Thankfully, G2 didn’t let it happen. It was a tough fight, but they managed to win 3–2, and it felt amazing to watch them finally lift the trophy!
Caps played exceptionally well, leading his team to win and making key plays when they mattered most. His consistently strong performance throughout the tournament rightfully earned him the MVP award. This victory marks his 16th championship in the LEC, making him the most successful player in the region. His team also achieved their 18th league championship.
Wow, the energy in Spain was incredible! Being there at the arena was unforgettable – the crowd was absolutely buzzing. The series went all the way to a fifth game, and it was so intense you could even hear the famous ‘Silver Scrapes’ sound effect over the roaring cheers. Over 15,000 fans were packed into the Grand Finals in Badalona, and we all got to experience every amazing moment live!
The First Stand
G2 Esports won and will represent Europe at The First Stand, the season’s first League of Legends tournament. The tournament will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from March 16th to 22nd. They join Gen.G, BNK FEARX, Team Secret Whales, and Loud, who have already qualified. The remaining teams from China and North America will be decided soon.
