Funko Fusion Developer 10:10 Reportedly Hit By Layoffs as Game Branded ‘Commercial and Critical Failure’

10:10 Games, known for creating Funko Fusion, appears to have experienced job cuts due to their upcoming 2024 title being labeled as both a financial and critical flop. It’s reported that approximately 20 team members have been impacted by these layoffs.

According to reports from Insider Gaming, team members at 10:10 were informed about the budget cuts in mid-January, as the studio could not secure financing for a future project. Some of the employees who were let go allegedly found out during their vacation time. The same sources indicate that the minimum legal severance pay and any unused holiday compensation have been proposed to staff who were terminated.

Currently, 10:10 continues to develop fresh figures for the Funko Fusion series, and the Universal Monsters Pack (trailer available below) is the most recent DLC addition to the game. Notably, various DLC packs influenced by Wicked, Mega Man, Invincible, The Office, and even the soft-spoken late artist Bob Ross have already been unveiled.

In September 2024, the debut game from 10:10 Games, Funko Fusion, was met with nearly unanimous negative criticism – a studio founded in 2021 by industry veterans Arthur Parsons and Jon Burton, who are well-versed in creating various LEGO games under their previous company, TT Games.
