'Fuming' Skye Wheatley announces social media break after her TikTok account was banned

As an ardent follower of Skye Wheatley, I can’t help but feel a twinge of empathy mixed with admiration for her tenacity and resilience. This woman has been through the wringer, from her triumphant win on I’m A Celebrity Australia to her ongoing struggles with social media platforms like TikTok.

Sky Wheatley announced that she will be taking a break from social media due to her anger following the deletion of her TikTok account.

The 30-year-old influencer has been chronicling her struggles over the past couple of months to reactivate her TikTok account, which had been suspended.

Currently, she’s chosen to retreat from social media following a frustrating experience where she couldn’t restore her TikTok account.

2024’s winner of “I’m a Celebrity Australia” shared the news about her split with her 668,000 Instagram followers on a typical Wednesday.

She penned: ‘Hi, not posting on social media for a bit need a break and absolutely fuming and raging about my TikTok and in a big ”f**k you” mindset hehe.

As someone who’s spent over two decades on Instagram, I can confidently say that TikTok has some work to do regarding its content consistency. I’ve never experienced the same issues on Instagram that seem to plague TikTok. It feels like they’re just reposting the same content, which is a bit disappointing. Let’s hope for improvement and fresh, engaging content from TikTok in the future!

Skye pledged to have her TikTok account reactivated, continuing her fight unwaveringly, without disclosing the specifics as to why it was suspended.

‘I WILL get my account back also just taking a break because I’m extremely off it,’ she concluded.

Recently, I encountered an unfortunate situation involving a fraudulent account while attempting to regain access to my TikTok platform. Consequently, I found myself in the position of having to extend apologies to my loyal followers due to this oversight.

Last June, I found myself issuing a heartfelt apology when I unwittingly endorsed a questionable account to my audience, which unfortunately turned out to be a trap for unsuspecting fans like you. One of my devoted followers fell prey to this deceitful scheme.

As a devoted admirer, I feel compelled to share that, amidst my enthusiasm and dealing with ADHD, I might not have given my recent post the careful consideration it deserved. So, dear fans, kindly disregard my suggestion from that account for now. I’ll strive to think more rationally before sharing again in the future.

Previously known Big Brother celebrity posted a picture of an engineering service account, claiming they had swindled her money following an attempt to retrieve her deactivated TikTok profile with their assistance.

In my sincere apology, I admit that I made a mistake in judgment. I’ve found myself facing some challenging circumstances, and upon reflection, I realize that the content I shared was not appropriate. I deeply regret my actions and wish to express my sincerest apologies for any offense or discomfort caused.

Due to having ADHD, I sometimes act impulsively, as my mother puts it, without thoroughly considering the logical and rational consequences first.

She asserted that a follower suggested the account to her as assistance, stating they would aid in reinstating it following a ban.

Skye offered an apology while showing a conversation with a fan, who disclosed that their boyfriend supposedly became a victim of a suspected fraudster.

‘Sorry for posting guys,’ Skye captioned a screenshot of her exchange with the follower.

She continued: ‘Now I have to live with this guilt, if he took anyone else’s money.

Oh dear, I’m feeling quite nauseous. I had complete confidence that he would assist me, but unfortunately, it appears to be a fraudulent scheme. I regret to inform you, I ended up losing $300.

Reflecting on my life experiences, I’ve encountered some unfortunate incidents involving alleged scams over the years. One of the most unforgettable incidents was purchasing fake medical eye drops from a clinic in Thailand earlier this year. The consequences were severe and served as a stark reminder of the importance of due diligence when making health-related decisions. In 2015, I also underwent a botched boob job that left me with long-lasting physical and emotional scars. These incidents have taught me to be more cautious and vigilant in my dealings, especially when it comes to matters concerning my health and wellbeing.
