Full House star Candace Cameron Bure reveals why she left Los Angeles amid mass celebrity exodus from liberal city

Candace Cameron Bure decided to leave Los Angeles because the city had changed so much, and she’s not alone – many other celebrities have already moved or are considering it.

Cameron Bure, 49, shared on Instagram with her 5.7 million followers that while she still has affection for Southern California, Los Angeles has changed a lot since she was a child and especially since 2020.

I’ve always loved hearing what Candace Cameron Bure has to say, and I was so interested to learn she actually prefers the quiet life of a small town over the craziness of a big city. It’s easy to forget that someone so famous for playing D.J. Tanner in both *Full House* and *Fuller House* would value simplicity and peace over the hustle and bustle!

As someone who’s explored a lot of different lifestyles, I have to say there’s something incredibly special about small-town living. I grew up near Los Angeles, in Panorama City, and while I appreciate the energy of a big city, I truly cherish the feeling of community where people actually know and remember your name. It just makes life feel a little more personal, you know?

Candace clarified that people didn’t just know her name because she’s ‘on TV.’

She explained that one of the main reasons she felt good about leaving Southern California was the charm and appeal of the smaller town she now lives in, as shown in a photo she shared.

Figure skater Kristina Bure has three children with her husband, Valeri Bure, age 51. Their children are Natasha, 27, and sons Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23.

I’ve been following Candace for a while now – she has this amazing podcast where she talks about everything from daily life and family to her faith. Recently, she’s been sharing even more personal bits and pieces of her life with us on Instagram, which I really appreciate! It feels like getting to know the real her.

When asked about her favorite family tradition, she said it was Sunday dinners, and shared a photo of a beautifully set outdoor dining table.

Stunning displays of meat and vegetables were among the culinary items on the tabletop.

After a fan commented that Candace Cameron Bure, sister of Kirk Cameron from ‘Growing Pains,’ appeared to be in great shape, she was asked about her workout routine.

She’s been lifting heavier weights more often, now doing it four times a week as she’s stepped up her weightlifting routine.

Candace said she is also doing cardio twice a week and ‘fine-tuning’ on a regular basis.

Candace shared that she and her husband have been consistently working out for the past year, and she’s finally starting to see the results she’s been working towards.

Candace and her husband, former NHL player Bure, will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary next year. They first married on June 22, 1996.

For their 29th wedding anniversary, she and her partner fondly remembered key moments in their relationship.

She recalled their first official date happening 31 years ago at a practice rink in Fredericton, New Brunswick. They were introduced four months prior by her Full House co-star, Dave Coulier, at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles.

Candace reminisced that they got engaged in Paris thirty years ago, on June 20th. Today, June 22nd, marks their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary, and they’ve built a wonderful family together.

She concluded in saying, ‘Happy anniversary to my love and best friend forever.’
