The Olympic swimmer-turned presenter, 51, tearfully told her Ash, Luttsy & Susie listeners she was stepping down after 10 years – and insiders have picked two popular media personalities as potential replacements.

According to Brisbane’s Courier Mail newspaper, Kendall Gilding, known for her work on Seven News, is the prominent figure at the number one spot on their list.

It’s been asserted that the 33-year-old stands as a formidable candidate, given her past experiences of stepping in for Susie on numerous occasions and building a robust connection with her audience.

35-year-old former reality TV personality Sam Frost, who now works as a radio host, is being considered as a possible candidate for the position.

In the year 2015, Frost made her debut in the media industry by featuring on The Bachelorette, followed by securing a hosting position at Sydney 2Day FM at a later date.

On various instances, she’s stepped in for Susie, and her lively and cheerful demeanor has made her a favorite among listeners.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Gilding and Frost for comment. 

Following Susie’s heartfelt disclosure that she was stepping down from her beloved morning radio program, she made the announcement live during the broadcast.

With a sense of profound sadness, I find myself compelled to share some difficult news. Making this choice wasn’t straightforward; it required careful contemplation and introspection. Expressing the reasons behind my departure is proving to be quite challenging for me.

Reflecting on the milestone of turning 50 last year, I find myself standing on the threshold of a fresh phase in my existence. This upcoming chapter promises to be an exciting journey as I set sail towards achieving new aspirations, both in my professional and personal life.

Susie shared that she’d thought ahead regarding her future and promised the audience they’d have an opportunity to bid her farewell, since she’ll still be on-air for another six weeks.

She expressed her desire to return to the foundations of sports and engage with a broader community. She mentioned that her last day would be quite emotional as she bids farewell to everyone.

‘Whatever this next chapter brings, my Nova family won’t be far away.’

Susie will present her final show on Friday, November 28.
