From Neighbours From Hell to Pop Royalty: Five’s Epic Comeback After 25 Years!
Overjoyed as a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but rejoice this week when the highly acclaimed boy band we’ve all adored for decades announced their grand reunion, bringing back the original five members after a 25-year hiatus!
The members of the once-popular British boyband – Abz Love (age 45), Ritchie Neville (also 45), Scott Robinson (45), Sean Conlon (43), and J Brown (48) – disbanded in 2001.
A significant factor contributing to their achievement was acquiring the reputation as the “rebellious pop stars,” a nickname that persisted following their appearance on ITV’s Neighbours from Hell in 1998.
After forming, the group decided to live together on a peaceful street in Surrey. However, their neighbors grew enraged by their behavior.
In the television program, the boys were often heard scream-yelling and engaging in roughhousing day and night, leading their frustrated neighbors to label them as a ‘nuisance’ or difficult to coexist with.
According to one neighbor, they were having a conversation about who was responsible for certain actions in the bathroom, and it seemed that they didn’t have a care in the world about it.

The neighbor went on saying, “They are filled with an excessive amount of arrogance. If they can make it to the top of the charts with such an attitude, then certainly they will succeed. However, if they rely solely on their voices for success, there’s no chance!
Instead of calmly conversing, they’ll loudly argue, darting swiftly between floors at a near-sprint pace, their heavy footsteps echoing as they slam doors forcefully.
Instead of lying there pondering why they couldn’t simply chat in the living room, I found myself wondering, as they seldom engaged in conversation, instead preferring to shout at one another.
‘Who do you think you are?’
In a recent Boybands Forever documentary, Chris Herbert, their manager, disclosed that one week following their signing, he arranged for the group to live together in a shared house, allowing them to strengthen their bond.
He pointed out that if they wanted an authentic appearance, these guys should seem as though they’d been friends for a long time.
After that, Simon Cowell proposed they film the journey to capture where the band first started.
Chris continued: ‘Simon being Simon, looking at this footage he thought – Neighbours From Hell!
Due to the overwhelming popularity of “Neighbors From Hell,” we compiled a collection of their content, and they eagerly accepted our offer.
Their conduct was boisterous and rowdy, and it undermined the image we were aiming to project.
Before their television performance, the band managed to score a top 10 single with “Slam Dunk (Da Funk).” However, once they expanded their fanbase, their subsequent single, “When The Lights Go Out,” climbed up to the No. 4 spot.

After twenty years, the group has mellowed out from their exuberant behaviors, yet they assure their fans that they will maintain the excitement during their upcoming tour.
The tour begins in Brighton on October 31, 2025, and then journeys throughout the country, performing shows in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and London’s O2 Arena, among other locations.
On Thursday, they announced on social media that it is indeed happening – the five of them will be joining forces for a tour around the United Kingdom!
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment, and it truly feels like the perfect timing for everyone involved – 25 years later, we’re more than prepared to embrace it.

Regarding the gathering, Scott mentioned: “It’s been a long-awaited event, and it truly feels like the perfect moment for everyone involved – after 25 years, we’ve finally reached the point where we’re all eagerly anticipating it.
Reframing in a friendly and conversational manner: “It’s been truly remarkable reconnecting with everyone as if we were old pals again over the past year! And I think it’s safe to say, on behalf of us boys, that we are thrilled to relive these moments once more. Are you all set and ready for another round? Let’s go!!
Abz expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled to perform together again and meet our fans. It’s going to be an incredible show! We’re also looking forward to having Naughty Boy join us on tour.
‘5 bad boys and a naughty boy, that sounds like a lot of fun. Let’s gooooo!’
The news also came a 25 years after Five won their first BRIT Award for Best British Pop Act.
For about a week now, they’ve been playfully hinting at their return on various social platforms, and they’ve even launched a fresh website and Instagram account with the message ‘27.2.25 Loading…’ written on them.
On Tuesday evening, the Instagram account shared a photo of a chat between a band whose lead member just opened his first Instagram account, saying: “Let’s hear this mic… is it working?”, further remarking: “Five rough boys are about to rock,” which is a lyric from their song ‘Everybody Get Up’.
Formed in 1997, Five went on to sell more than 20 million records worldwide.
In more than 20 different nations, only five British acts have managed to place all their 11 singles in the Top 10. Among these five, the UK group is unique in achieving this feat, even scoring three number-one hits.
2025 Tour tickets for Five’s “Keep On Movin'” will become available to the public starting from Friday, 7th of March, 10 am, through the official website: www.itsfiveofficial.com.
