From Married At First stars to the cast of Real Housewives of Sydney All the famous faces brutally snubbed from the 2025 Logie Awards
In just a week, we’re counting down to the much-awaited 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards, which is television’s grandest night! Celebrities are already preparing themselves for this significant event.
Preparing myself for an electrifying night as I follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Barnes, my cherished idol, who’s performing live at The Star Sydney on August 3. Once again, Sam Pang will be gracing us with his presence as the host for the third time, making this annual event a highly anticipated talk of the town.
Yet, while much chatter surrounds the star-studded guest list, it’s noteworthy that several Australian TV favorites are reportedly unable to attend the upcoming red carpet event next week, as a number of them will be absent.
Among those who won’t be invited are Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry, who came in second on MasterChef 2024, Ricky Recard from The Block, and the entire cast of Married At First Sight.
In a conversation with Yahoo Lifestyle, MAFS (Married at First Sight) participant Jamie Marinos shared her feelings of uncertainty about whether she and her fellow cast members would be invited to the Logie Awards due to the harsh snub in the casting process.

In truth, even though the murmurs hinted at an invitation, I found myself hesitant to believe it wholeheartedly. Consequently, I took matters into my own hands and planned a European escapade instead. Now, you could say I’m on an impromptu promotional journey through London.
As it turns out, we weren’t extended an invitation, I must admit. It’s truly unfortunate because I believe the entire cast was eagerly anticipating it as well. Honestly, I would have cherished joining them at the Logies.
Even though they weren’t included on the guest list, relationship specialists John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla will still attend, representing their well-known program instead.
Nevertheless, it’s not just Married at First Sight where show participants have been overlooked while the judges secure spots instead; other programs share this phenomenon as well.
Scott Cam and Shelley Craft were invited to the Logie Awards, but the teams from The Block’s 20th season, including popular contestant Ricky Recard, were not.
Likewise, it’s expected that Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge of My Kitchen Rules will attend the event, however, the teams from the 2024 season, including champion Simone Preste, seem to be absent.
Although The Real Housewives of Sydney received its first nomination at the Logies, surprisingly, no cast members were extended invitations to attend the prestigious award ceremony.
Victoria Montano made it clear that she had no doubts about whether the production team would secure a spot at the ceremony, given their role in broadcasting the Housewives’ private lives to the public.

At the Logies event, you’ll find MasterChef Australia judges Sofia Levin and Poh Ling in attendance. Notably, Poh is a contender for the prestigious Gold Logie award, the highest honor of the evening.
As a lifestyle expert looking back on the event, I must express my surprise when, in 2024, I found myself on the sidelines, even though I had come in second place in a significant competition. Interestingly, both the first and second-place winners from previous years were invited to attend the ceremony, yet I was not. This unexpected turn of events left me reflecting on the unique dynamics that sometimes play out in these situations.
It remains unclear whether Natalie Gruzlewski, host of Farmer Wants A Wife, and Jonathan LaPaglia, host of Australian Survivor, will attend the event. Given Natalie’s decade-long absence from red carpet events and Jonathan’s recent termination by Channel 10, it seems improbable that they might be present.
This year, the Australian Idol winner, 19-year-old Marshall Hamburger, along with host Ricki-Lee Coulter (nominated for the Most Popular Presenter award), are expected to attend. However, it’s uncertain whether other past contestants have been invited as well.
The official announcement of Logie nominations took place in June at the Sydney Opera House, with numerous Australian favorites contending for significant TV awards.
As for fans watching at home, voting is now open and will remain so until 7pm on Friday, August 1.
The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.
