From fans need to watch this Netflix show soon if they haven't yet

As a binge-watching aficionado who’s been through the wringer with the unpredictable twists of “From,” I can wholeheartedly recommend diving into the enigmatic depths of “Dark” on Netflix to tide over this interminable hiatus that seems to stretch all the way to 2026.

With the thrilling climax of season 3 from “From” now behind us, we find ourselves in a period without fresh episodes, since the next installment won’t be available until 2026. Fortunately, production for season 4 has been confirmed and is set to start in 2025. This means we might catch glimpses of sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes photos during filming in 2024. However, these tidbits won’t quite match the excitement of eagerly awaiting a new episode each week.

That’s why all From fans need to watch the German Netflix show Dark. It’s only three seasons, but it is a complex and intricately plotted series that has a lot in common with From. It likely won’t take you two years to watch it, but it will give you something new to fixate on to get you over the first hump of the From hiatus.

Allow me to start off by mentioning that what follows may contain substantial spoilers. To maintain a level of discretion, I’ll keep the more sensitive spoilers related to ‘Dark’ to a minimum.

Gladly, I find myself immersed in the captivating world of “Dark.” Even if I were to disclose some significant plot twists, chances are they’d blur into the background while you’re engrossed in its intricate narrative. This series demands your full focus to grasp all its layers and complexities.

In the fictional German town of Winden, the series ‘Dark’ unfolds, with its narrative centered around a child who mysteriously vanishes in the forest. Many people have drawn parallels to ‘Stranger Things’. With the major revelations in the third season of ‘From’, I believe the links between ‘From’ and ‘Dark’ have grown even stronger.

Dark and From share many similarities

In “Dark,” the narrative primarily explores the intricate connections among various characters, as it delves into a multigenerational time travel mystery conspiracy.

Towards the end of season 3, we received confirmation that Julie possesses some form of time-traveling abilities. Additionally, Tabitha and Jade are portrayals of town inhabitants from previous times. However, don’t be alarmed as this isn’t exactly like the plot of Dark, but it does share a similar ambiance. Interestingly, both series feature a character prominently wearing a yellow jacket!

One great aspect of the series Dark lies in its exceptional writing quality and superb acting performances. What’s more, it offers a fully developed narrative, and every episode is currently accessible, eliminating any delays between seasons!

I love From, but I think the writing is weak sometimes, and some of the performances are a little lacking. It’s still a blast to watch, and I can’t wait to see what comes next, but Dark on Netflix is a great way to distract yourself from the From hiatus for a little bit. Who knows? It might even inspire you to come up with some new From theories!

Dark is now on Netflix and From is avaialble on MGM+.
