Friends star Lisa Kudrow’s Netflix show lands release date
As a seasoned gamer and binge-watcher, let me tell you, the anticipation for “No Good Deed” is like leveling up my character to the max before tackling an epic quest! With Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano leading the cast, I’m already half expecting a hilarious “Friends” reunion with a twist of dark humor.
No Good Deed, the new series starring Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano, has landed its release date.
The Netflix series centers around three different families who find their paths intertwining when they each aim to purchase the same house, believed by all to be their ideal dwelling. Yet, appearances can be deceiving, as a multitude of hidden truths lay buried within its walls.
Under the direction of Liz Feldman, renowned for her work on “Dead to Me,” the premiere date for the upcoming series “No Good Deed” has been set. The first trailer’s release has confirmed this, and starting from December 12, viewers can stream the show online.
The brief preview introduces several households moving into the house, followed by scenes suggesting betrayal, spying, playful trickery, and possibly a violent confrontation throughout their stay.
Beyond Kudrow and Romano, the ensemble cast for this series also features Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Denis Leary, and O-T Fagbenle. Matt Rogers and Anna Marie Horsford are expected to make multiple appearances, joining the lineup as recurring guests.
The character Lydia Morgan, played by Kudrow, is a highly skilled former pianist from a concert background, deeply committed not only to her art but also to her husband Paul (Romano) and their two kids. Their family home, pivotal in the storyline, is put up for sale.
As a devoted fan, I’d rephrase it like this: Cardellini’s Margo Starling is portrayed as an impeccably groomed social climber, while Wilson, fresh from his role in Horizon: An American Saga, takes on the part of a struggling actress, once a soap opera star but now jobless.
Although Friends actor David Kudrow may anticipate his role in No Good Deed, he received disappointing career news as Apple TV+ decided to cancel the fantasy-adventure series Time Bandits following its first season.
Regardless of the favorable critiques, the remake based on the 1981 movie (directed by Ridley Scott) failed to resonate with audiences, and its lack of audience interest is believed to be why it was canceled.
No Good Deed streams on Netflix on December 12.
