Fans are thrilled! After being unavailable on Netflix in the UK since the end of 2025, Friends is now back for streaming thanks to the launch of a brand-new service.
Fans of the beloved sitcom, which ran for ten seasons and featured Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry, were upset when all 236 episodes disappeared from streaming services on December 30th. Thankfully, it’s now available to watch again in the UK.
The popular show is now available on HBO Max in the UK, starting today, March 26th.

Current Now users can start enjoying an ad-supported version of the platform right away. New subscribers will have four different plans to choose from, including both options with and without ads.
The streaming service will also feature popular shows and movies like the US medical drama The Pitt, which is new to audiences here, as well as award-winning series One Battle After Another, the summer blockbuster Superman, and beloved favorites Succession and Game of Thrones.

Lisa Kudrow, best known for her role on Friends, is having a great moment with the release of the final season of her popular show, The Comeback. You can watch the new season on HBO Max through Now in the UK.
So, the first episode just dropped this week, and it’s been a long time coming! We’re talking over ten years since season two, and that season didn’t even come out until nine years after the first one. Seriously, I almost forgot this show existed!
A major focus of the show’s latest season is the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Kudrow’s character, Valerie Cherish, finds herself starring in a comedy series that’s uniquely written by AI, not people.
She recently told Variety that she’s more concerned about the impact of new technology on aspiring performers who haven’t yet established themselves, rather than on her own career. She also noted that opportunities for writers have been steadily decreasing since the beginning of these changes.
Honestly, it’s pretty scary when you look beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Even just talking to people who work in the offices and handle the business side of things, there’s a real fear that their jobs could be taken over by automation or something similar. It’s a worry a lot of people are facing, it seems.
Friends is streaming on HBO Max, via Now, from today (26 March).
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
