Garena International has unveiled plans to release the Free Fire OB50 update on July 30th. In this latest version, you’ll find revamped characters, adjusted weapons, a fresh character addition, an upcoming event, and much more. Notably, the Naruto collaboration is making a comeback with this particular version.
Free Fire OB50 update: Key Highlights
New Character: Rin
One notable addition to this update is Rin, Hayato’s younger sister, making her debut as a covert ninja in the game. Utilizing her ability, Kunai Flurry, you can summon kunais at regular intervals of 8 seconds, inflicting substantial damage on Gloo Walls. The damage intensifies with increasing distance from the target.

She possesses a passive skill that can narrow rifle spread when you manage to land consecutive headshots consecutively, making her an excellent choice for a playstyle focused solely on sniping. Rin will join the Diamond Royale box together with the freshly introduced pet that enhances your Energy Points (EP) regeneration rate as you crouch.
Character Adjustments in Free Fire OB50 update
With the OB50 update, Free Fire’s popular characters experience notable adjustments. Namely, Nairi’s Steel Gel recovers quicker but heals allies less, while Kairos’ Defense Break uses more energy per second. Notably, Sonia’s Nanoshield has undergone a considerable reduction in power.

1. Santino’s Transport Dummy will now have a restriction on teleportation if placed too high up.
2. Laura’s aiming accuracy has been boosted, making her more dependable in mid-range battles.
3. Álvaro’s mini grenades will cause slightly more damage, enhancing his explosive capabilities.
Weapon Adjustments and Map balances in Free Fire OB50 update
The update includes modifications to weapons as well. Specifically, the range of the M1887 shotgun has been slightly reduced to maintain its effectiveness in close combat. On the other hand, the recoil on the Groza and SCAR rifles has been adjusted for smoother handling and improved control.

Enhancing the MP40 will grant you an increase in both rate of fire and damage. A fresh tech-gun pistol with a generous magazine size is on its way. The Mini UZI, Heal Pistol, and Auto Tracker feature are being added to your arsenal. Additionally, the AN94 will see improved accuracy, while the AC80 now delivers stronger blows at a faster firing rate.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that VSS will see an upgrade in its rate of fire, while the penetration power of M82B’s Gloo Wall has been slightly reduced. This update is exciting, as even Level 3 Backpacks are getting a visual makeover, and the 4x scope now features a fresh center circle – a change I think will be quite beneficial.
Night Travel event and Map changes
Get ready for an exciting new horror-themed event called Night Travel, coming with a chilling atmosphere! Expect a spooky lobby animation filled with fog and a Hot Drop Zone marked by lasers, where you’ll find special cards to empower yourself with supernatural abilities.
You have the option to choose from three potent bonuses. The Reaper ability revitalizes you after each enemy kill, Tracker assists in locating foes with low health, and Phantom hampers enemy movement and marks their position on your map.

Discussing Map enhancements, the Bermuda Clock Tower now boasts an exhilarating rooftop zipline for increased mobility. Alpine has been enhanced with denser vegetation to obstruct long-range shooting spots and offer improved concealment. The inclusion of a Dark Zone, shrouded in darkness accompanied by a spooky sky, is another map feature added.
Naruto collaboration is returning

Exciting news! The popular Naruto collaboration is coming back, featuring a themed lobby, scroll collection missions, and two legendary skins (allegedly of Kakashi and Tsunade). You can accomplish daily tasks to earn a free epic skin through the weekly point shop.
New CS Peak Mode
The freshly introduced “CS Peak” is a revamped Clash Squad mode, making its debut in this update. This mode will only be accessible during the nighttime hours, and it boasts its own distinct rank and scoring system. By climbing the ranks in this mode, you’ll be rewarded with unique banners, avatars, and additional perks.
UI and other performance improvements
The design of the game’s user interface is getting an upgrade, featuring cleaner text and tabs that can be collapsed. Additionally, a new squad carousel will make it simpler to join games with different teammates quickly. This is advantageous for Android users as loading times have decreased by 30% on mid-range devices.
Furthermore, the game is enhancing its anti-cheat system to be even more precise. Following this update, it will identify potential macro keystrokes within a span of 90 seconds. However, we’ll need to wait until July 30 to discover what other improvements the developers have planned for us. Keep an eye out for further announcements!
