Garena International has revealed that they will be releasing the Free Fire OB50 update on July 30th. This latest version includes character makeovers, adjusted weaponry, a fresh character, an event, and additional features. The Naruto collaboration is set to come back with this new release as well.

Free Fire OB50 update: Key Highlights

Introducing Rin, the latest Character

One key feature of this update is the introduction of Rin, Hayato’s younger sister, who will be playing as a stealthy ninja in the game. With her ability called Kunai Flurry, you can summon a Kunai every 8 seconds, which enables you to inflict substantial damage on Gloo Walls, and the damage intensifies with distance.

Additionally, she possesses a passive skill that narrows the spread of your rifle shots when you manage to land consecutive headshots, making her an excellent choice for a playstyle focusing solely on sniping. In the upcoming Diamond Royale box, Rin will be included, together with a new pet yet unnamed, which boosts your Energy Point (EP) regeneration rate when crouching.

Character Adjustments in Free Fire OB50 update

The recent OB50 update introduces substantial modifications to the beloved characters in Free Fire. Specifically, Nairi’s Steel Gel now recovers quicker but heals teammates less; on the other hand, Kairos’ Defense Break uses up more energy per second. Furthermore, Sonia’s Nanoshield has been noticeably weakened in this update.

Santino’s Transport Dummy now has a restriction on teleportation when placed too high up. Laura’s aiming precision enhancement makes her more dependable in medium-range battles. Álvaro’s mini grenade damage is slightly elevated, enhancing his destructive power.

Weapon Adjustments and Map balances in Free Fire OB50 update

In addition to the latest changes, the update includes modifications to various weapons. Specifically, the range of the M1887 shotgun has been slightly reduced to even out its close-up damage potential. At the same time, the recoil on the Groza and SCAR rifles has been smoothed out for improved handling.

To increase the firepower of your MP40, upgrade it to receive a higher rate of fire and damage boost. A fresh tech-gun pistol with a large magazine capacity is being introduced as well. The Mini UZI and Heal Pistol will feature Auto Tracker technology, and the AN94 will see an accuracy improvement, while the AC80 now packs a harder punch with a quicker firing rate.

I’m thrilled about this update because VSS is now shooting faster, but the penetration of M82B’s Gloo Wall has been slightly reduced. The cool part doesn’t stop there! Level 3 Backpacks are getting a visual makeover, and the 4x scope has a fresh new center circle that should be quite handy.

Night Travel event and Map changes

Prepare yourself for the thrill of the upcoming horror-themed event called “Night Travel”. It’s coming with an eerie atmosphere that will send chills down your spine. You can anticipate a lobby animation filled with swirling fog and a distinctly marked “Hot Drop Zone” where you can gather special cards to empower yourself with supernatural abilities.

You have the option to choose from three potent enhancements. The Reaper buff restores your health with each kill, Tracker assists in pointing out low-health adversaries, and Phantom hinders enemy movement and marks their position on the map.

Discussing Map enhancements, the Bermuda Clock Tower now includes an exhilarating rooftop zipline for increased mobility. Alpine has been enriched with denser vegetation to hinder long-range sniping spots and offer improved concealment. Moreover, a new area called the Dark Zone has been incorporated, casting shadows across the map along with an eerie atmosphere overhead.

Naruto collaboration is returning

Excitingly, it’s been announced that the Naruto collaboration is coming back! Expect a themed lobby, scroll collection missions, and even legendary skins for characters like Kakashi and Tsunade. To get your hands on a free epic skin, simply complete daily quests during the week-long event at the point shop.

This version maintains the original’s structure while aiming to make it more accessible to readers with a simpler, easy-to-understand style.

New CS Peak Mode

With this latest update, we’re introducing a fresh, night-only ranked game mode called CS Peak for Clash Squad. This unique mode comes with its own rank and scoring system. As you progress in this mode, you can unlock special badges, profile pictures, and additional rewards.

UI and other performance improvements

The design of the game’s user interface is being updated with clearer text and tabs that can be collapsed for easier navigation. Furthermore, a new squad carousel feature will make it simpler to team up with random players again. This should excite Android users because loading times on mid-range devices have been reduced by 30%.

Moreover, the developers are refining their anti-cheat system to be even more precise. With the recent update, it will now identify potentially fraudulent rapid key presses (macro taps) within a span of 90 seconds. Keep an eye out for further developments as we approach July 30th. Stay tuned for additional news!
