Free Fire has announced plans to hold an esports competition during the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, which is quickly approaching. The exciting event is scheduled for July in the bustling city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Mark your calendars for July 16th, 2025! That’s when this exciting tournament I’ve been eagerly anticipating starts. It’s set to last approximately a week, with the grand champion being crowned at the finish line. The competition will feature a total of 16 teams, each having earned their spot through various regional and national championship events. Can’t wait to see who takes home the trophy!
Free Fire Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025: Schedule and Format
The previously stated details confirm that the event begins on July 16th, 2025, and concludes on July 20th, 2025. This multi-day spectacle consists of three primary phases: the Knockout Stage, Point Rush, and Grand Finals. In the initial phase, a total of 18 teams will be organized into groups with six teams in each group.
In this competition, there will be a total of 18 matches. Each group will participate in 12 games. The top 12 teams will advance to the Grand Finals. Before the Grand Finals commence on July 20th, we have what is known as the Point Rush Stage, where teams aim to accumulate points for an advantage in the Grand Finals. This stage consists of 6 matches for each team to earn those valuable headstart points. During the Grand Finals, all participating teams will play a further 6 games to determine the ultimate champion.
Participating Team
18 teams are taking part in the event as previously mentioned. Yet, it’s only the top 12 teams that will compete in the finals. These teams are selected from significant regional tournaments such as the FFWS SEA Spring 2025, Esports World Cup 2024, FFWS Brazil 2025 Season 2, Mid Season Clash 2025, Pakistan Qualifier, and FFBC 2025, as well as the FFWS LATAM 2025.
Prize Pool
