Frankie Bridge calls out ‘b******t acceptance speeches’ from celebs ‘no one likes working with’ after National Television Awards 2024
As a long-time observer of the entertainment industry, I find myself incessantly intrigued by the enigma that is its inner workings. Frankie Bridge’s candid and scathing rant about the hypocrisy of certain celebrities who continue to garner accolades despite their reputation for being difficult to work with resonates deeply with me.
Frankie Bridge criticizes insincere acceptance speeches by celebrities, stating that they are often disliked by those who work with them.
At the National Television Awards 2024, one of the Loose Women panelists, aged 35, delivered a sharp critique, condemning certain individuals within the industry as being unkind or unpleasant.
Speaking to Spencer Matthews on his Big Fish podcast the pair discussed the importance of being ‘easy to work with.’
Spencer remarked, “It’s puzzling to me why some individuals are known as truly awful persons, yet others still choose to collaborate with them.
Frankie concurred, expressing that “Over the years, meeting many of those individuals has been one of my major points.
The presenter went on to recall, “After leaving the S Club Juniors, Simon Fuller advised me, ‘Maintain your ease to collaborate as you do now, since people will continually desire to work with someone who is pleasant,’ and his words have stayed with me.
Throughout my professional journey, I’ve encountered instances that made me question a long-held belief – the notion that goodness always triumphs in the end. As I matured, I found myself disagreeing with this idea, which frankly, used to infuriate me.
‘I’ve sat at awards ceremonies knowing that there’s people winning these awards that everyone in the room hates working with, and they get up and they spout this speech about loving everyone, and being kind, and all that b******t and I’m like, “you’re lying! Everyone in here hates you.”
‘Yet they’re all standing up clapping and going, “yeah!”, and posting about it, and I think that’s what helps me as well, because I know the b******t.
I’m not entirely convinced, but I believe that understanding it can help maintain a balanced perspective.
In the National Television Awards 2024, it was Frankie and her fellow Loose Women who were bested by The Chase in the Daytime category this year.
At the event’s ceremony, she was stunningly dressed in a white bustier teamed with an identical jacket as she gracefully walked along the crimson carpet.
Previously from The Saturdays, she accessorized her ensemble with a white skirt and pulled her hair back into an elegant updo for the glitzy gathering.
