Fox Sports fires Charlie Dixon after he was accused of sexual battery by 2 ex-employees, his lawyer says

The executive producer of content at Fox Sports, Charlie Dixon, who faces allegations of sexual battery in two lawsuits from ex-employees and one lawsuit claiming sexual assault, is no longer associated with Fox Sports.

A lawyer for Dixon stated via email to The Times on Monday night that their client was informed by Fox Sports that they were terminated due to a breach of company policy, which is unrelated to the lawsuits filed in January.

Based on what attorney John Ly reported, it appears that Mr. Dixon failed to inform human resources or the legal department about the fact that a third-party production company had employed his wife as a temporary freelancer, according to him representing Dixon in the civil lawsuits filed by Julie Stewart-Binks and Noushin Faraji this year.

However, it’s important to note that Mr. Dixon actually sought clarification from his superior regarding the hiring process, and was informed that there were no issues or concerns about it.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I felt compelled to share that back in 2016, my former superior at Fox Sports, Charlie Dixon, allegedly subjected me to sexual assault.

Ly noted: “Interestingly, a representative from Fox didn’t mention the ongoing investigation into sexual harassment allegations when announcing Mr. Dixon’s departure. Mr. Dixon has been fully cooperative with the investigation and firmly maintains that he did not partake in any inappropriate behavior.

Ly did not immediately respond to further questions from The Times.

Fox Sports has confirmed that Dixon is no longer an employee with them, as stated in an email received on Tuesday morning.)

According to the network, “Charlie Dixon is no longer working for FOX Sports.” At the moment, they have nothing more to say on the subject.

Shannon Sharpe has decided to take a temporary break from his duties at ESPN following allegations of rape made by a woman in a 50-million dollar lawsuit, which additionally involves a claim of defamation brought against him by another woman.

In the lawsuit she filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on January 31st, Stewart-Binks claimed that Dixon had pinned her against a wall, aggressively pressing his body onto hers and attempting to force kisses upon her, during an encounter following a work meeting in 2016.

Shortly following the occurrence, the lawsuit claims that Stewart-Binks’ contract with Fox was not extended beyond its term. The lawsuit accuses all defendants, including Dixon, Fox Sports, and their parent company, Fox Corporation, of sexual assault and battery. These actions are cited as reasons for the lawsuit.

The accusations date back nearly nine years. Upon learning of them, we immediately engaged a separate investigative agency to look into the matter, and acted upon the results.

At the beginning of January, a lawsuit was filed in L.A. County Superior Court, with Dixon being one of the named defendants along with Faraji. This lawsuit claims that at a birthday party for another Fox Sports employee, Dixon allegedly inappropriately touched Faraji by rubbing her body and grabbing her buttocks without her consent. The lawsuit further asserts that these actions constitute sexual battery and the creation of a hostile work environment, with both being grounds for legal action against Dixon.
