Four roster changes to make after WWE debuts on Netflix

As a seasoned gamer with over 20 years of wrestling fandom under my belt, I find myself eagerly anticipating WWE’s premiere on Netflix. The rumors about key roster members shifting shows have me buzzing like a high-flying cruiserweight!

As the January 6 premiere date for WWE on Netflix draws near, there’s buzz that Netflix is keen on featuring prominent WWE personalities in their show. If there’s a possibility of shake-ups in the rosters, here are some suggestions for acts who might benefit from a switch if such an opportunity arises.

Roman Reigns

Transferring Roman Reigns from Friday’s SmackDown to Monday’s Raw could bring an intriguing change of pace. As the reigning king on SmackDown, he has consistently been a major attraction for the show each week. However, his appearances have become less frequent recently. Shifting him to Mondays could open up new possibilities not just for him but also for others within The Bloodline. Ponder the potential matches that might arise with Reigns on a different platform. Characters like Bronson Reed, GUNTHER, Chad Gable, and perhaps even reviving the storyline with Braun Strowman are all possibilities. Additionally, moving him to a new setting could provide insight into how he fares without The Bloodline as his primary narrative. Essentially, this move might be likened to streaming Roman Reigns on Netflix to witness how this change unfolds.

Motor City Machine Guns

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are exceptionally skilled wrestlers who excel both in teamwork and individually. Moving them to Monday Night Raw could invigorate the entire tag team scene. Moreover, it would open up possibilities for them to thrive as solo performers, which could bring a fresh perspective to the promotion. It’s crucial that WWE doesn’t limit these two talents solely to the tag team division; doing so might overlook their potential as single stars.

 Finn Balor

It’s about time we separate Finn Balor from The Judgment Day storyline, fans are eagerly anticipating his rise as a top main-roster champion, just as he was once known as Prince Devitt. Recently marking ten years with WWE, Balor continues to be one of the most beloved performers within the company. Shifting him from Raw to SmackDown could pave the way for him to ascend into the main event scene as a top villain. With numerous talents on SmackDown, it would be intriguing to see how he interacts with them. Changing Balor’s show could prove beneficial.

Drew McIntyre

This year, Drew McIntyre made a significant impact in WWE as a villainous character, or “heel.” However, following his defeat at the Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk, he’s been out of action. Given the intensity and chaos of that particular match, it’s understandable. If McIntyre were to reappear during the Royal Rumble and be selected as a draft pick for SmackDown, this could provide him with a new beginning after his unsuccessful attempt to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A stint as a champion on SmackDown could be in the cards for McIntyre, offering him a fresh start.
