In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, director Guy Ritchie and the stars of “The Fountain of Youth” discussed potential plans for a follow-up movie.

Eiza Gonzalez implies that the phrase holds multiple interpretations and serves well as an ending point for their connection, be it romantic or protective. She seems to question the nature of their bond and wonder what may follow next.

Natalie Portman indicates her openness to creating more if there’s demand, as she thoroughly enjoyed the process of making it.

Eiza González: Why wouldn’t I? It’s a delight to journey around the world with this fantastic team once more. I believe these kinds of films should be produced to inspire children, preserving innocence and curiosity. You carry on a family legacy. So, without hesitation, I’d join in… I asked Guy, “Are there other guardians?” To which he replied, “Of course, there must be.” With that in mind, it could be exciting to create another sequel. We even visited one of the seven wonders of the world. There might be more. That’s the charm of adventure movies; they can continue endlessly.

Guy Ritchie: Making this film was an absolute joy. It was the kind of project where everyone involved wished it could continue forever. There’s a real sense of camaraderie that’s been created, and if given the chance, we’d gladly dive back in again. So, we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold. If all goes well, we may get another opportunity to return.
