fans are getting the chance to go beyond the game this Memorial Day Weekend thanks to Toyota.
To celebrate Memorial Day weekend and the launch of the new Forza Horizon 6 video game, Toyota is hosting a special event called Lost & Found: The Challenge. It will take place at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, California, and offer attendees a unique, immersive experience inspired by the game.
What Is Toyota’s Lost & Found: The Challenge?
Toyota’s ‘Lost & Found: The Challenge’ is a real-life experience based on the popular ‘Barn Finds’ feature in the Forza Horizon video game series. Just like in the game, participants will explore a Japanese-style barn, solve puzzles related to the game’s mechanics, and try to discover hidden, rare vehicles. The event is inspired by the real-world car enthusiast hobby of finding forgotten cars in barns and other unexpected places.
The popular “rumor hunt” feature, found in every Forza Horizon game since the first, involves discovering classic cars hidden throughout the game world. It’s exciting to uncover the stories behind these vehicles and share those discoveries with others. To celebrate this feature, a real-life version of the hunt is being held at Westfield Century City. Visitors can participate in a unique, escape-room-style experience and potentially win prizes like digital game codes, exclusive merchandise (hats, t-shirts, and pins), and even a special *Forza Horizon 6themed Xbox Series X console.
The newest installment of the popular Forza racing game series, Forza Horizon 6, came out on May 19th for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S. Set in Japan, Forza Horizon 6 features the biggest open-world map in the series, including a remarkably detailed recreation of almost all of Tokyo – the most complex area the game has ever offered.
The game quickly became a hit on Steam, selling more than twice as many copies as Forza Horizon 5 did at launch. This wasn’t unexpected, though, as pre-orders for the title exceeded 500,000 copies, generating over $30 million in revenue on its first day.
Get ready to explore Japan in Forza Horizon 6! Developed by Playground Games, this new installment features a beautiful and varied landscape, blending countryside and city life. Discover hidden gems on Horizon’s most detailed map yet, packed with hills, different environments, and amazing driving challenges. You can drive through quiet neighborhoods and famous city streets, or test your skills in the busy docks and industrial areas of Tokyo – the biggest city ever created in a Forza Horizon game, and a paradise for car lovers.
Since its launch, Forza Horizon 6 has received very positive reviews. Metacritic, a website that collects scores from critics, currently gives the game a 91 out of 100, based on 72 reviews. Players themselves also enjoy the game, giving it an 8.7 out of 10 based on over 220 user reviews.
Toyota is hosting “The Lost & Found: The Challenge” event on May 30th and 31st at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, California.
