Playground Games, the developer behind Forza Horizon 3, has “restarted” their servers, addressing concerns that the open-world racing game could go offline. However, rest assured that the game will continue to be accessible online at this point in time.
Although Forza Horizon 3 was declared “end of life” in 2020 and taken down from digital storefronts, its online servers have continued to operate, albeit with certain features like the marketplace, clubs, and rivals temporarily unavailable. This has led some players to worry that the game might have been shut down entirely.
Great news for everyone! The servers have been restarted, and they’re showing signs of increased activity. A senior community developer on Reddit, as reported by Eurogamer, confirmed this to the players, assuring them that the online features are now back up and running. We appreciate your understanding during this downtime, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
In 2016, the game “Forza Horizon 3” was launched, transporting the series to the sun-kissed landscapes of Australia and it was quite impressive. The sequel, “Forza Horizon 4“, arrived in 2018, shifting the location to the UK’s countryside – this game has also been removed from sale as of December. The most recent addition is “Forza Horizon 5“, released in 2021, which brings the racing excitement to Mexico.
