Fortnite’s first-person mode just got some new leaks
As a die-hard Fortnite fan with countless hours spent battling it out in Battle Royale, I can’t help but feel a tinge of excitement about the rumored first-person mode. It’s been a long time coming, and if leaks are to be believed, we might finally get our hands on this much-anticipated feature.
First-person in Fortnite may be closer than you think.
For quite a while now, Fortnite has been hinting at the introduction of a first-person perspective, leaving players curious and uncertain about what’s to come. The question on everyone’s mind is: What kind of experience will it offer? And more importantly, when can we expect this new feature to drop? This is something that Fortnite enthusiasts have been eagerly pondering for a while now.
Well, it looks like we may have gotten a few new leaks, and they are huge.
Everything we know about Fortnite’s first-person mode
It appears that in the past, what we knew was Fortnite had been quietly developing a first-person perspective for their game. However, it’s not guaranteed that this will be integrated into Battle Royale games. Although PUBG enabled players to switch between third and first-person views smoothly, there’s a question of whether Fortnite could surpass that experience.
Here’s my attempt at paraphrasing:
What we do know, however, is some of the weapons Fortnite has been testing first-person out with.
All guns available in the new mode
Based on a tweet from HYPEX, it appears that Fortnite is currently experimenting with various weapons in a first-person perspective. Currently, this feature is functioning for all ranged weapons.
This means that basically, all of the guns in Fortnite are working in first-person mode.
In the new mode, it turns out certain weapon types and features like dual weapons, ballistic shields, underwater swimming, gliding, and skydiving haven’t been implemented or tested as of now, so they can’t be used at this time.
So, will the new game mode ever come to Battle Royale? Or will it stick in Creative?
