Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean Crossover Brings Jack Sparrow and the Crew to Battle Royale From Today

As a long-time Fortnite fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the latest Pirates of the Caribbean crossover! The Cursed Sails event is finally here, and it brings with it an incredible array of themed content that any pirate at heart would be excited about.

Starting today, Fortnite is welcoming a Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration. The v30.20 update, dubbed “Cursed Sails,” is being released, bringing with it an abundance of pirate-themed elements such as a Jack Sparrow costume, fresh Quests, and much more.

As a passionate player, I’m thrilled to embark on the Cursed Sails Quests and earn that elusive Cursed Gold! Each completed Quest brings me closer to reaching milestones on the Cursed Sails Pass. The rewards? Oh boy, I get Jack’s Cutlass and Bane Pickaxe as freebies, not to mention a sneak peek of Jack’s Prize Back Bling through the standard track! Plus, the Premium Reward Track offers even more exciting goodies, all mine for the taking once I’ve purchased the Cursed Sails Premium Pass for 1,000 V-Bucks. Instantly transforming into Captain Jack Sparrow with his iconic outfit is just an added bonus!

At the Pirates of the Caribbean event, you’ll find a hauntingly beautiful Ship in a Bottle that can be thrown from the chests on the Pirate Ship anchored at Shallow Shipwreck. The fearsome Pirate Cannon has been taken out of storage as well. Buried treasure waits to be discovered all around the BR Island, containing valuable items such as the Flint-Knock Pistol and more. A X marks the spot for you to dig up your prizes.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about the Premium Reward Track in this game. With each milestone achieved, there are some truly fantastic rewards that make the journey worthwhile.

As an experienced pirate captain, I can tell you that there are many ways to unlock Jack’s Ship Glider in Sea of Thieves, but completing the Cursed Sails Quests is one of the most exciting and rewarding methods. These quests, known as “Pirate Codes,” are divided into eight intricately designed puzzles, each containing four quests. The quests are available from today until the 2nd of August.

  • The Pirate Code One Quests are live now.
  • The Pirate Code Two Quests go live July 21 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Three Quests go live July 23 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Four Quests go live July 25 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Five Quests go live July 27 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Six Quests go live July 29 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Seven Quests go live July 31 at 9 AM ET.
  • The Pirate Code Eight Quests go live August 2 at 9 AM ET.

At Fortnite’s Marketplace, you have the option to buy outfits based on Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and Davy Jones, complete with their unique LEGO styles. Elizabeth’s purchase comes with additional items such as Dead Man’s Chest Back Bling and Elizabeth’s Favor Pickaxe. Capt. Barbossa is accompanied by his Barbossa’s Sword Pickaxe, while the Davy Jones Pack includes the Lil Kraken Back Bling and Norrington’s Sacrifice Pickaxe as bonus items.

If you’d like to obtain everything in one go, consider buying the Pirates of the Caribbean Bundle in Fortnite. This package includes all three sets and an extra Davy’s Pipe Organ Emote as a bonus. The collaboration between Pirates of the Caribbean and Fortnite is currently available until August 6th at 4am ET.
