As a seasoned Fortnite player with years of experience under my virtual belt, I must say that the latest Chapter 5 Season 4 update has brought a breath of fresh air to the game. The adjustments made to Shuri’s Black Panther Claws and War Machine’s Hover Jet are much appreciated.
Here is what’s new in Fortnite’s latest Chapter 5 Season 4 update!
Frequent updates for Mini Fortnite, specifically during Chapter 5 Season 4’s Marvel-themed phase, have been implemented. Some players argue that certain Marvel-themed items are out of balance. In response, Epic Games has taken steps to ensure fairness among all players by modifying these items first with Captain America’s Shield and War Machine duo, then increasing the Doom Island spawn rate temporarily. Today’s September 11 update for Fortnite sees developers making further adjustments to another set of Marvel-themed items.
Shuri’s Black Panther Claws buffed, spawn rate increased in Fortnite September 11 update
In Chapter 5 Season 4, following the v31.10 update on September 11th, Shuri’s Black Panther Claws have become the latest Marvel-themed ability to emerge. This item has been made more common and significantly stronger since the update. Players who find this power will benefit from a speedier sprint and an extended reach in the pounce mechanic. These alterations make Shuri’s Black Panther Claws a more useful addition to your inventory.
War Machine’s Hover Jet spawn rate decreased

In the September 11 update for Fortnite, the frequency at which War Machine’s Hover Jet appears was reduced slightly. The Hover Jet has continued to be the same in most aspects, except that it’s now harder to find due to Epic Games taking it out of competitive modes. Additionally, you will discover Jetpacks less often, and they will primarily show up in Avengers Chests. According to a Fortnite Status post, this change aims to increase the appearance of Shuri’s Black Panther Claws within those chests.
It’s crucial that these updates are made to maintain a fun-filled gaming experience for players. It’s comforting to know that Epic Games is actively making improvements. The major update for Fortnite is set to drop on September 17. For those who want to stay updated, be sure to check back on Friday, September 13, as the Black Cat skin will be available then.
