Fortnite Reload July 16 update adds Thunder Shotgun and more
As a dedicated Fortnite fan and someone who’s been playing since the early days of Chapter 1, I can’t help but be thrilled about the latest Fortnite Reload update! The addition of the Thunder Pump Shotgun, Twin Mag SMG, and Mammoth Pistol is a welcome surprise. These weapons bring back fond memories of the good old days, and I’m excited to see them in action once again.
Here is what’s new in Fortnite Reload!
Fortnite’s newest game mode, Reload, has created a buzz like nothing else since the invention of sliced bread. Enthusiasts have been swiftly drawn to this fresh addition to celebrate and honor Fortnite Chapter 1 in its new phase. Just as with other game modes, Epic Games continues to refine Fortnite Reload, with the most recent enhancement unveiled on July 16. Here’s a rundown of all the modifications introduced in the July 16 Fortnite Reload update.
New weapons added, others removed in the latest Fortnite Reload update
The Thunder Pump Shotgun, a crowd pleaser among Fortnite players, is amongst the three new weapons introduced in the July 16th Reload update. Introduced in Chapter 4 Season 1, this weapon quickly gained popularity due to the delight players derived from using it. Amongst the newer shotguns, the Thunder Pump takes the lead. Additionally, Fortnite Reload now includes the Twin Mag SMG and Mammoth Pistol.
As a long-time Fortnite player, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and disappointment with Epic Games’ recent updates. On one hand, I’m thrilled to see new weapons added to the loot pool. These fresh additions bring a sense of novelty and keep the game feeling fresh. However, the removal of some weapons leaves me with a bittersweet taste in my mouth.
Here is a list of the weapon changes in the Fortnite Reload update:
Added weapons

- Thunder Pump Shotgun
- Twin Mag SMG
- Mammoth Pistol
Vaulted weapons
- Lever Action Shotgun
- Tactical Submachine Gun
- Hand Cannon
This update applies to the Battle Royale and Zero Build versions of Fortnite Reload.

There’s no denying that Fortnite Reload, the nostalgic Chapter 1 game mode in Fortnite, has gained massive popularity. It swiftly rose to the top, surpassing the conventional Battle Royale as Fortnite’s most favored choice. Epic Games is unlikely to make major adjustments until Chapter 5 Season 4. Nevertheless, players can anticipate some minor tweaks, including loot pool modifications, in the meantime.
