As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the return of Fortnite OG Chapter 1 is like stepping into a time machine and being transported back to my teenage years. The nostalgia is palpable! The original Battle Royale map, the Reboot Vans, the sniper scope glare – it’s all coming back, and I can hardly contain my excitement.
Tomorrow marks the start of a permanent return to the initial chapter of Fortnite OG, also known as Fortnite Battle Royale’s first season. This will allow players to revisit the roots of Fortnite, experiencing its early days with original loot, locations, and gameplay once more.
In Fortnite, certain improvements to player comfort, such as building mechanics and various movement abilities like sprinting, sliding, mantling, door bashing, and healing on the move, will continue to be part of gameplay without modification. The original 2017 Battle Royale map makes a comeback, and in Zero Build mode, players can utilize ziplines and ascenders to access otherwise unreachable locations.
“Vans and sniper scopes will return, with maximum building resources at 999, and double pump for shotguns is temporarily activated. Also, a 45-tier OG Pass from Fortnite is offered, including vintage rewards like the enegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber, and Skull Commander outfits, which have a modern twist.
As a dedicated Fortnite gamer, I’m excited to share that the original Fortnite OG Chapter 1 will be re-released starting tomorrow, running until January 31st, 2025, at 2am ET. From day one, you can jump into Zero Build, Solos, and Squads modes. And if you’re a competitive player like me, get ready for the upcoming Ranked Fortnite OG mode!
