Fortnite FNCS 2025 to feature $8M prize pool, Trios, and Siphon

As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of competitive Fortnite under my belt, I must say I’m thrilled about the changes coming to the FNCS in 2025! The $8 million prize pool is nothing short of mouthwatering, and I can’t wait to see the strategy shifts and alliances that will be formed.

The FNCS will feature a whopping $8 million prize pool in 2025 alongside a format change to Trios!

2024’s Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Global Championship concluded with North American players Peterbot and Pollo delivering a powerful win. After the trophy presentation, Epic Games hinted at what competitive Fortnite enthusiasts can anticipate in 2025’s FNCS. The announcement featured an $8 million prize pot, a shift from Duos to Trios teams, and the reintroduction of the popular Siphon mechanic.

Fortnite teases massive changes to the FNCS in 2025

Following the impressive performance by Peterbot and Pollo, Fortnite desk host Zeke hinted at changes coming to the FNCS in 2025, similar to a Marvel reveal. Key adjustments include:

Personally speaking, I’m thrilled to share that next year, the cherished Siphon mechanic will make a comeback in competitive Fortnite! Back in May 2023, Epic Games took it away without much explanation, leaving top professional players and fans like me disappointed. Since then, it’s been a nostalgic memory, with moments of hope sparked by Medallions. Now, it looks like the wait is over as Epic plans to reintroduce it through “Siphon Trials.

What do these changes mean for competitive Fortnite next year?

Looking forward to Chapter 6 of Fortnite, the competitive landscape is becoming increasingly defined. Yet, nothing sparks more curiosity than the prospective Fortnite Trios that might compete in the FNCS by 2025. Following Peterbot and Pollo’s historic win at the 2024 FNCS Global Championship, speculation abounds.

As a die-hard Fortnite fan, I can’t wait to see top players scramble to strengthen their squads for the upcoming Fortnite Champion Series. Even though time is ticking, there’s still plenty of it before we dive into Chapter 5 Season 4’s aftermath – an exciting OG Chapter 2 season lies ahead! We might just step into Chapter 6 as early as December or January.

2025 seems exciting with a revamped format, larger prize money, the reintroduction of Siphon, and the comeback of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS).
