Formula 1: No more races on ESPN2 for almost four months

As a dedicated Formula 1 fan with years of experience following the sport, I was both excited and disappointed by the latest broadcast schedule announcement from ESPN. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit two weeks ago marked the halfway point of the thrilling 2024 season, and it was the first race on ESPN2 since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola Circuit in mid-May.

Two weekends ago, the British Grand Prix held at Silverstone Circuit signified the midpoint of the extraordinary 2024 Formula 1 season, comprising a total of 24 races.

The fourth race out of a total of seven aired on ESPN2 this year took place. This was the initial ESPN2 broadcast since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix held at Imola Circuit in May.

I’ve been a dedicated Formula One racing fan for years, and I can’t express how excited I am for the upcoming races! However, I must admit that I’m disappointed to hear that ESPN2 won’t be showing the next eight races.

After the upcoming race, there are two more Formula One events coming up. The United States Grand Prix will take place at Circuit of the Americas on October 20, and the Mexico City Grand Prix is scheduled for Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on October 27. Both races will be broadcast live on ABC.

No more Formula 1 races on ESPN2 until November

Another Formula 1 race on ESPN2 won’t be broadcast until November 3, specifically the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos Circuit in Brazil. This event marks the beginning of a series of three out of the final four races of the season airing on ESPN2.

On Sunday, November 24, the last race of ESPN’s series will be the Las Vegas Grand Prix, held at the Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that we have two thrilling races left in the season! ESPN2 will be broadcasting the Qatar Grand Prix live from Lusail International Circuit on December 1st. And then, on December 8th, tune in for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. Let’s gear up for some exhilarating racing action!

Start your free FuboTV trial now and catch the live Hungarian Grand Prix coverage on ESPN at 8:55 a.m. ET this coming Sunday, July 21. Don’t miss out on the excitement from the Hungaroring race track!
