Formula 1: New major strategic partnership has immense upside

As a child of the 90’s, I spent countless hours building intricate LEGO creations, from space shuttles to castles, and everything in between. The thought of merging my two favorite worlds – Formula 1 and LEGO – is beyond exciting!

Previously, we’ve encountered LEGO sets featuring McLaren and Mercedes Formula 1 vehicles from past years. A new alliance between LEGO and Formula 1 is now in place, paving the way for a more extensive collaboration between these global titans, with plans extending to 2025 and beyond.

As a devoted enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that LEGO is gearing up to create LEGO DUPLO sets featuring iconic and contemporary Formula 1 cars for our little racers, along with the classic brick sets for fans of all ages! What’s more, LEGO has ambitious plans to amplify their presence at future Grands Prix and expand their digital footprint. Buckle up, race fans, it’s going to be an exciting ride!

As a passionate admirer, it’s clear to me that this venture presents an electrifying prospect, especially considering LEGO’s global prominence over the decades. Millions of us, who grew up reminiscing over our diverse brick collections, now have the chance to delve into the world of Formula 1, cherishing iconic cars from racing history!

Formula 1 is going in the right direction

Ever since Liberty Media assumed ownership of Formula 1, they’ve been doing an outstanding job in expanding the sport. Given their achievements across various platforms, partnering with LEGO seems like a natural step to further fuel this growth.

As a gaming enthusiast, I could imagine myself getting excited about Formula 1 when I see its potential global reach. This broad exposure might spark interest among younger fans like me, leading to an increase in engagement with the sport. In fact, it could even boost the existing kids’ broadcasts, ensuring that each race weekend is covered, making it easier for us young fans to keep up and enjoy the action!

Building a championship-winning RB19 as a five-year-old might spark the desire to watch the same car on television in the future – this is one of the aspirations driving this partnership. Additionally, it’s possible that we could see a LEGO broadcast of a race in the future, much like the current kids’ programming.

Furthermore, a significant number of elderly Formula 1 enthusiasts have the opportunity to revisit their childhood passion for constructing LEGO models by building sets based on their favorite F1 cars, not just from current times but also from past eras as well.

2025 races are likely to showcase a variety of LEGO-themed attractions for fans. While specifics have not been finalized, it’s safe to anticipate an impressive display from the renowned Danish toy company within the fan area.

Nevertheless, Formula 1 partnering with LEGO should give fans of all ages a much more enjoyable experience, whether that be at a Grand Prix, in a LEGO store, on a digital platform, or even at home. There will certainly be something that every fan can enjoy.
