Matt Pinfield, who’s currently recuperating after having a stroke, shared his plans to make a strong comeback, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
On Thursday, the ex-MTV host and current radio DJ shared with a trade publication that he’s been discharged from critical care following his stroke in early January. He is currently undergoing recovery at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles.
According to an account in the Hollywood Reporter, Pinfield, aged 63, states that he was unable to respond for a period of two months. His friends believed they might be visiting him for the final time during this period. Remarkably, the doctors had no expectation that he would regain the ability to speak or walk again.
Towards the end of January, Jessica Pinfield, Matt Pinfield’s daughter, submitted a request in L.A. County Superior Court aiming to assume the role of conservator for her father and his assets. In official court documents, she stated that due to his current condition, Matt Pinfield is not capable of making informed decisions regarding his health and financial matters.
According to Pinfield, he was placed on a ventilator in the hospital, and it was his daughter who miraculously saved his life. He further expressed his hope to be discharged from the rehabilitation center by March’s end and resume his duties on radio stations KCSN (SoCal Sound) and KLOS.
