Joe Garratt, who appeared on Love Island, shared that he was robbed in Los Angeles and actually ran after the people who stole from him.
The 29-year-old, known from the 2019 and 2024 seasons of the ITV dating show, has shin splints. He injured himself by running three blocks in cowboy boots to get to something quickly.
Joe shared on Instagram that he was robbed in Los Angeles, and then surprisingly chased the robbers for three blocks while wearing cowboy boots.

This event occurred shortly after the actor shared that he had rediscovered his religious faith.
During an appearance on The Way UK podcast, which challenges common ideas about Christianity, Joe shared that people don’t have to be perfect to have a relationship with God.
‘You need to come to God in search of his perfection. And that’s what it is.’
When asked about finding God and how it changed his life, Joe explained that while he wasn’t a heavy drinker, he worried that alcohol would lead him to act in ways that didn’t match his values.
‘And it definitely didn’t align with the Christian values I’m trying to go forward with.’
Let’s be real, sometimes a little indulgence feels easier when you’ve had a drink. Now, I’m not saying it’s okay to do things you regret, but if you’re able to handle your alcohol and make responsible choices, that’s entirely up to you. It’s about knowing your limits and being honest with yourself.
‘But I just personally, it wasn’t serving me anymore.
It also just didn’t feel right – I pride myself on keeping my promises, and this didn’t match the person I was presenting myself to be.
And Joe said the experience had been ‘amazing’.
He added: ‘If anything, it’s definitely brought me closer to God for sure.’
Joe and Lucie Donlan connected on Love Island in 2019, but their relationship didn’t last. Lucie is now engaged to Luke Mabbott, who appeared on the show in 2020.

According to a source, Ekin-Su and Joe clearly have a strong connection and a lot of chemistry between them.
‘They didn’t stop laughing and joking around after bumping into each other at the afterparty.
Joe hinted that he’d like to go on a date with Ekin, mentioning he’s always wanted to spend more time with her.
