An actress famous for her parts in the TV dramas Emmerdale and Casualty will be starring in the musical version of Tim Burton’s classic 1988 film, Beetlejuice.
Chelsea Halfpenny, known for her roles as Amy Wyatt in Emmerdale and Alicia Munroe in Casualty, will star in a Broadway show coming to London’s West End this spring. She’ll be playing Barbara Maitland, a role previously made famous by Geena Davis in the movie version.
Featuring David Fynn and Tom Xander as Beetlejuice, and David Hunter as Adam, Barbara’s husband, Beetlejuice the Musical begins performances at the Prince Edward Theatre on May 20th.

In the beloved movie, the Maitlands die in a car crash at the beginning and then become ghosts who haunt their home. They eventually become friends with Lydia Deetz, the daughter of the new owners.
Hannah Nordberg, known for her role in Euphoria, will be playing the part of the teenage daughter who loves all things gothic – a role originally portrayed by Winona Ryder in the film.

Joining the cast of Beetlejuice The Musical are Alasdair Harvey, who will play Lydia’s grieving father, Charles Deetz, and Aimie Atkinson as his fiancé, Delia—a life coach character originally portrayed by Catherine O’Hara in the movie.
Chasity Crisp will play two characters: Maxine Dean and Juno, who is the Maitlands’ case worker. Richard Frame will portray Otho, and Irvine Iqbal will play Maxie Dean, Maxine’s husband and an investor.

Rachel Macdougall will play a Girl Scout, and Vanessa Aurora Sierra is returning to the role of Miss Argentina, a part she previously performed on Broadway.
Tickets for Beetlejuice The Musical are available now from ticket sellers like ATG, TodayTix, and Love Theatre. The show is scheduled to run until April 17, 2027.
Beetlejuice the Musical will begin performances at the Prince Edward Theatre on May 20th and will run six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. The show is currently scheduled to close on April 17, 2027.
