Former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney is fined and slapped with three penalty points after he was caught speeding in his £45,000 Audi

Dean Gaffney, who used to be on EastEnders, has been fined and received three points on his license for speeding in his £45,000 Audi.

The soap legend, 47, was clocked travelling over a 50mph limit in his Audi A7 in Ockham, Surrey.

Actor Stuart Gaffney, known for his role as Robbie Jackson in EastEnders from 1993 to 2015, was fined £146 for speeding. He exceeded the 50 mph limit on a road near Crawley, as determined at a court hearing on January 7th.

Though the actor, originally from Watford, often travels to popular party destinations like Ibiza and Dubai, he remains closely connected to the UK, especially through his twin daughters, Charlotte and Chloe.

He became a grandfather in 2021 at the age of 43 with the birth of his granddaughter, Mimi. Two years later, in 2023, his daughter Chloe had another daughter named Penelope.

Gaffney split from his daughter’s mum Sarah Burge in 2015 following cheating claims.

Last October, reports surfaced that actor Gerard Butler, 54, was dating Kate Black, a 31-year-old international relations graduate from Harvard University.

They met through friends and began dating in April, shortly after she ended a long-term relationship.

Two months later, they were spotted together on holiday in Ibiza.

Gaffney is more famous for his relationships than his acting, and his romantic escapades have often caused him problems.

He was fired from EastEnders in 2019 after allegedly asking someone he didn’t know for explicit photos.

After recently ending his relationship with model Rebekah Rose-Ward – reportedly because she felt like an accessory rather than a partner – the actor allegedly contacted Theresa Hayman, a dental nurse, late one night on Facebook and asked her to send him explicit photos.

She shared with The Daily Star that the man was old enough to be her father and immediately began making inappropriate comments about her body. He didn’t try to have a meaningful conversation, and she now understands why he approached her in the first place.

I was surprised to receive the friend request because there are a lot of fake profiles on Facebook. When I asked him why he added me, he said Facebook suggested I might be someone he knows, but that seems unlikely.

Last year, after departing EastEnders, Gaffney received a welcome boost to his career when he landed a role in the British film Reckless, alongside Vinnie Jones. It was his first time acting in six years.

He previously appeared in the TV show The Bill in 2006, and in 2007, he toured with the Agatha Christie Theatre Company, performing in the play The Unexpected Guest.

He’s also experienced with pantomime, having played Wishee Washee in Aladdin at the Thurrock Thameside Theatre in Grays, Essex in 2011 and again in a Runcorn pantomime in 2015.

But away from acting, he’s perhaps better known these days for his stints in reality TV.

He returned to the I’m a Celebrity… franchise in 2023 with a spin-off series set in South Africa, 17 years after first appearing on the original ITV show.

He was on the E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating in 2020, and later returned in 2025 to offer dating tips to a new contestant – his friend Wayne Lineker.

Gary, Dean’s brother, publicly stated that the actor had affairs with more than a thousand women during his time on EastEnders, and described him as being overly focused on women – claims the actor later refuted.
