As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the arts and a keen eye for the career trajectories of talented individuals, I find it fascinating to witness the journey of Brian Conley, a man whose talent spans across various mediums. His decision to leave EastEnders, despite the restrictions he faced, was not one taken lightly, as evidenced by his heartfelt goodbyes to fans and colleagues alike.

Previously known EastEnders actor Brian Conley has recently reconnected with his former cast member Harriet Thorpe, approximately a year since his departure from the soap opera.

63-year-old actor, who plays a character on the soap opera, decided to depart from the Watford set, expressing his feelings that the role of Tom ‘Rocky’ Cotton was limiting him.

He left after it was reported that bosses banned the cast from lucrative pantomime gigs.

But it wasn’t long before he reunited with his old colleague Harriet Thorpe, who plays Elaine in the BBC show.

On Instagram, Brian posted a Halloween photo featuring himself, soap actress Gok Wan, and friends.

In the photo, Brian is wearing a blood-stained Victorian outfit, while Harriet appears eerie with a blonde wig on like a ghost.

Gok was dressed ad Matilda’s Miss Trunchbull and another pal.

Sharing the image to social media, he captioned the post ‘Boo’.

Back in the morning on Good Morning Britain earlier this term, I, a die-hard fanboy, spilled the beans about the authentic motive that led me to abandon my cherished character from EastEnders.

He informed Susanna Reid, “I recently learned that it is possible. However, initially, they indicated that nothing could be done.

‘I’m a live performer, I love being live, I love getting out there.

‘So for me I felt very restricted with those sort of ties.’

When questioned about the possibility of Rocky reappearing on the soap opera, Brian replied: “It’s possible. You never know for sure. I might just show up again, or I could find a way out.

According to a statement made by EastEnders, it has been verified that Brian Conley is set to depart from EastEnders.

It’s completely untrue that there were any disputes between Brian and management, and the show unequivocally endorses Brian’s choice to depart, a decision he made quite some time back.

We hope he finds great success in the future, as we proceed with his character’s departure plot that we’ve been developing over time.

In a recent social media post, Brian, better known as Rocky from EastEnders, shared the following: “Hey there, it’s me, Brian. I wanted to address some rumors circulating about my departure. Stay tuned for more updates.

Making the choice was difficult, but I must admit, I’m leaving. The decision wasn’t easy due to the fantastic audience both on and off camera, whom I’ve grown to cherish over the past three years.

‘What I’m saying is accurate. There have been reports that I had disagreements and was angry, but I want to clarify that I’m not being angry or ranting. I am grateful for the support of the Beeb, and I am looking forward to what lies ahead. Furthermore, I am pleased with Rocky’s departure because it seems like a good decision.’

‘So I am sending you much love to all EastEnders fans and enough said!’
