Previously known Big Brother contestant Charley Uchea recently became engaged to an unidentified partner, only a few weeks following an unexpected car accident that left her in critical condition.
On Instagram this past Monday, the television personality, now aged 40, who gained prominence during the eighth season of Big Brother back in 2007, announced some joyful news about their life.
The video commenced with a slightly hazy, close-up shot of her substantial diamond engagement ring, following the proposal by her unnamed partner who is 43 years old.
Charley was spotted lounging comfortably on a couch, dressed in a gray silk nightgown, while casually showing off a rock with her hand.
Charley’s caption for the video reads: ‘A genuine man guides with love, safeguards with his presence, and constructs with purpose.’ Additionally, she penned: ‘There are two things I am certain of – I’m not in the same place as before, and God is continuing to guide me towards an even greater destination ❤️.’
Previously shared, Charley showcased a rather provocative pose alongside her fiancé in photos taken on the same day, once more flaunting her engagement ring.
The lovebirds locked eyes while Charlie perched on a chair, both adorably dressed in identical silk bathrobes.
‘Nights like this with your favorite person,’ she captioned the pictures.
The announcement arrived only a few weeks following an alarming car accident, where Charley was reportedly left severely injured and nearly unconscious.
Last month, she shared about a startling event on her Instagram Stories, informing her followers that she had unfortunately been struck by a vehicle.
She ended up in an accident following her night out, and later stated that she was left unconscious and seemingly abandoned by the roadside.
Charley shared a video of herself in hospital wearing a neck brace.
She sported visible, red wounds on her eyebrow and cheek that appeared painful, and she asserted that she found it difficult to move her arms after the collision.
In the caption she wrote, ‘My nurse is gently combing my hair right now, as I don’t have much strength to do it myself at the moment.’
Accompanying another image of a wrecked vehicle, she commented: ‘Observe the destruction caused when this truck struck me, and then abandoned me on the roadside.’
Charley too posted a picture from her night out prior to the accident, captioning it: “What a wonderful evening… until I found myself in mid-air with a laugh and a knockout!
On the heels of celebrating her 40th birthday on June 30, Charley assured her 251,000 followers that she’d be returning home shortly.

Charley gained significant recognition in 2007, particularly for her participation in Big Brother, during the same year when Brian Belo was declared the champion.
She managed to avoid being evicted up until the eighth week, and was well-known for her contentious nature; engaging in a heated debate with Chanelle Hayes over a ten-minute span regarding Rihanna’s age.

In the wee hours of the morning, Emily was asked to leave the house following a verbal altercation with Charley in the garden earlier, during which Emily used a racially offensive slur.
In the same setting, both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, along with others, were taken aback when Emily humorously utilized the term “however.” However, she quickly clarified that it was merely a jest. Later on, Emily was summoned to the diary room where she was informed of her dismissal by Big Brother.
During Emily’s dismissal, the head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, stated following the event: “Given the context of Celebrity Big Brother, we need to think about any potential harm to viewers, disregarding Emily’s motives and the reactions of her fellow housemates.
‘The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use.
We took Emily out of the house to emphasize that we won’t accept similar behavior from anyone, both the housemates and viewers watching at home.
