Former ARN worker reveals secret chat with Jackie ‘O’ Henderson after her split with Kyle Sandilands and answers the big question everyone is asking: ‘She’s realised’

Someone who used to work with radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has shared their thoughts on what the pair might do now that they’ve unexpectedly ended their partnership after many years.

Mitch Churi, a longtime radio personality who worked with the KIIS FM team for more than ten years starting in 2014, shared on his podcast that he recently talked with Jackie, 51, and she’s been thinking things over.

Mitch explained that she’s experienced a lot of hardship and gained some important insights. He added that she’s always prioritized others’ needs over her own, and he’s glad to see her in a better place now.

‘I did speak to her, and I’m happy she’s realised those things.’ 

He also dismissed rumours that the show’s cancellation was just a ‘PR’ stunt.

‘I was there for ten years and have so many friends entangled in it. No, it’s not PR,’ he said. 

He also mentioned that Kyle and Jackie, both 54, created a hugely influential breakfast radio show that ran for more than 20 years and helped launch the careers of many future radio personalities.

What makes radio special is the genuine connection you build with listeners. It’s amazing to have that for a year or two, fantastic to keep it going for three to five, but truly exceptional to maintain it for 27 years, as I have.

It follows reports that the epic bust-up between Kyle and Jackie may be coming to an end. 

A surprising new report indicates that the two are speaking again and are interested in reuniting on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

The pair are ‘talking and want to do radio again’, a source told The Daily Telegraph on Monday. 

Okay, so I’m hearing whispers – whispers! – that they’re actually talking about bringing them back on the radio! A source is saying these early discussions are like… laying the groundwork, getting everything ready for a huge comeback. I can barely breathe just thinking about it! It’s really happening, I know it!

‘The ball will be in ARN’s court as to how this goes forward,’ the source alleged.

Last week, ARN, the company that owns KIIS FM, announced it was ending Jackie’s $100 million contract. This came after she informed management she could no longer work with Kyle Sandilands due to his critical on-air remarks, which had upset her greatly.

This week, through her manager Gemma O’Neill, the 51-year-old clarified that she didn’t resign or quit. She expressed deep sadness at the potential cancellation of the show and said she was surprised by the decision to remove her.

ARN sent Kyle a written notice explaining that his actions during the February 20th show were a serious violation of the agreement ARN has with Quasar Media.

Kyle was suspended and given 14 days to ‘remedy’ the breach, or else he faces termination. 

According to a report in The Australian on Thursday, the radio personality is threatening legal action against ARN if they end his $100 million contract after the cancellation of his KIIS FM show, ‘The Kyle & Jackie O Show’. He has reportedly hired lawyers to prepare for a lawsuit.
