Former AFL champion Shaun Higgins puts his beautiful Bayside home under the hammer for $3.36million

As a dedicated follower of Shaun Higgins‘ impressive career, I must say his latest achievement – selling his stunning Melbourne home for $3.36 million – is truly a property goal worth celebrating! Having watched him dominate the field with his 260 games and 229 goals, it’s heartening to see him achieve similar success off the field.

Previously illustrious player Shaun Higgins, who shone at Geelong, has achieved a significant real estate milestone by successfully offloading his breathtaking Melbourne residence for approximately $3.36 million.

In 2015, the 36-year-old former AFL player, along with his spouse Heidi, bought a spacious two-story house featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms for approximately $1.37 million.

This desirable property is nestled in the serene neighborhood of Castlefield Estate, which lies approximately 15 kilometers from the central business district (CBD) of Melbourne and the vibrant city of Hampton.

The beautifully landscaped property features a pool, a study, and meticulously maintained gardens.

According to inside sources, the final price for the sale has not been made public yet, but it was confirmed to The Herald Sun.

The house presents a traditional exterior, featuring a white picket fence, and its interior seamlessly combines contemporary design elements with hints of old-world sophistication.

Distinctive aspects of this home are its plantation shutters, box bay windows, and wooden floors, which emphasize its classic charm.

The clever arrangement lends a festive vibe, as the lower level’s kitchen and dining areas have sliding doors leading to the outdoor recreation spot at the back.

Additional features include a backyard ‘cubby house,’ a putting green and a pool house. 

A second lounge on the ground floor can also serve as a study.

The master bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite with a twin vanity.

Other highlights include a breakfast island and a private lounge area on the first floor.

In the world of football, Higgins, widely recognized by fans, played an astounding 260 games and scored an incredible 229 goals before hanging up his boots in 2022.

He began his career in first-class football with the Western Bulldogs Football Club in Melbourne and also played for North Melbourne. 

He ultimately hung up his boots after two seasons and 23 games with Geelong.

This highly esteemed midfield player claimed the Syd Barker Medal on two separate occasions and made it onto the All-Australian team in 2018.

2015 saw me tying the knot with the incredible Heidi, and since then, we’ve been blessed with a thriving family. Our little bundle of joy, Rosie, turned six this year, making our family even more vibrant and beautiful!

In 2021, they welcomed twins: a daughter, Emmeline, and a son, Harry.
