Forgotten sequel to heist thriller classic Inside Man becomes a Netflix hit

The long-overlooked follow-up to the 2006 heist thriller Inside Man, titled Inside Man: Most Wanted, has gained popularity as a Netflix favorite.

In 2019, the movie was helmed by M J Bassett and featured actors such as Aml Ameen, who is known for his role in “Better Call Saul,” Rhea Seehorn, and Roxanne McKee, a veteran from “Hollyoaks.

In addition to the main actors, we have Urs Rechn, Akshay Kumar, Tanya van Graan, Andre Jacobs, and Sven Ruygrok joining the team.

In the summary, a skilled NYPD hostage negotiator clashes with the FBI and faces an intricate adversary, a cunning criminal mastermind, as they plan to steal from the Federal Reserve.

So far, there’s been relatively little attention paid to the sequel by critics, with only a couple of reviews available at this moment, and no overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nevertheless, it seems that viewers are re-embracing this particular film, occupying the top spot among Netflix UK’s most popular movies at the moment, leading the way in their top ten movie chart.

Based on FlixPatrol’s report, “Inside Man: Most Wanted” currently ranks third among the most watched movies on Netflix worldwide.
