The world is like a sea of popcorn buckets, and we’re all just enjoying the ride. With new popcorn buckets being released along with every popular movie and at theme parks such as Walt Disney World, they are currently the must-have item. Although I have admired some Disney World popcorn buckets, on my next visit, I plan to bring home a new mug instead.
This year, 2025, has been an exceptional one for Disney World enthusiasts like myself who adore the Disney World lounges. Two new relaxation spots and dining areas have been announced, making it even more enjoyable. Epcot’s Spaceship Earth lounge, Geo-82, debuted earlier in the year, and now Disney World has revealed that the highly anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, Beak & Barrel, will be unveiled at Magic Kingdom on August 29.
In addition to the unveiling, the pub’s beverage list has been disclosed, featuring a cocktail named Plunderer’s Punch. This concoction, as you might have guessed, contains rum and is quite delightful. However, what makes it truly noteworthy is that it’s served in a pirate skull-shaped mug, which is simply fantastic!

This mug seems extremely trendy. It appears robust from the picture, and it includes rum, which makes me think there’s nothing not to like about it. But, where did the rum end up? Right here with me.
I’ll have a swashbuckling experience sipping this at The Beak & Barrel, and I can’t wait to relive that pirate-y feeling whenever I take a sip from it in the future. It’s definitely coming home with me!
Similar to Disney World offering various popcorn containers or cups alongside snacks, lounges across the resort provide special drinks in collectible mugs. These items serve a dual purpose – not only do they give you the food or drink you were planning to purchase, but also function as a keepsake from your vacation.
Although I seldom find myself impelled to purchase every popcorn bucket that catches my eye, I’ve had to restrain myself from converting all my beverage glasses into souvenirs from Disney World and Disneyland. Frankly, what could be more appealing than sipping from a glass that evokes memories of the enchanting place known as Earth’s fairy tale realm?
It’s clear that every dish on the Beak & Barrel menu appears just as appealing and intriguing to me as this mug does. I don’t notice any drink on their list that I wouldn’t care to sample. It seems I’ll have to pay them multiple visits. The food, too, looks delectable and uniquely presented. The Kraken’s Catch, a chilled salad featuring octopus tentacles, catches my eye particularly.
The establishment named Beak & Barrel is all set to debut at Magic Kingdom on August 29, and reservations can be made starting from August 14. Although I’m unsure when my next visit to Disney World will be, I certainly plan on including a reservation for Beak & Barrel in my itinerary. I look forward to meeting you at the tavern!
