Channel 4’s new series, Maya, is adding several new actors to the cast, alongside Daisy Haggard and Bella Ramsey. Confirmed earlier this year, the show is described as a thrilling drama and is being produced by Harry and Jack Williams, who also created The Tourist.
The series centers on Anna and her daughter Maya, played by Haggard and Ramsey, who enter witness protection and start new lives in a quiet, small town.
Despite attempting to rebuild their lives, they are still deeply affected by past trauma. Adding to their difficulties, the arrival of two dangerous hitmen creates a constant sense of fear as they desperately search for a missing mother and daughter.

I’m incredibly fortunate to be working alongside such talented actors, both as a director and a performer on this show.

Ben Chaplin
I’ve been a fan of Chaplin for ages, and he’s been in so many great things! I remember really enjoying him in *The Thin Red Line* back in ’98 – it was nominated for an Oscar, you know? And more recently, I thought he was fantastic as Marvin Bader in the thriller *September 5*. Oh, and he was Ella’s dad in the 2015 *Cinderella* – he’s just a really versatile actor!
He’s been on television as Detective Frank Mundi in *The Nevers* and as the Black Knight in Netflix’s *The Letter for the King*.
Raphel Famotibe
