Foo Fighters drop second single from forthcoming album – Listen here

Okay, I’ve heard a couple of tracks from the new Foo Fighters album, and wow – it sounds like they’re really letting loose! While their last album, But Here We Are, felt understandably more subdued given everything the band was going through, this one feels totally different. It’s got that raw, energetic, punk rock vibe that I’ve been craving, and I’m guessing it’s going to be a seriously high-energy record, even if they throw in a slower song or two.

The new album, Your Favorite Toy, comes out on April 24th. The first single, also called “Your Favorite Toy,” was a really exciting and direct rock song. Fans were curious if the rest of the album would be similar, and the second single, “Of All People,” suggests that it will be – which is great news!

The song sounds similar to Green Day, starting with a brief solo guitar intro before the full band jumps in. It quickly picks up speed, driven by energetic drumming reminiscent of Foo Fighters. The production is polished and clear, allowing every instrument—including Dave Grohl’s vocals—to stand out.

The song features short verses that build to a powerful chorus of “Oh no.” It ends abruptly after just two minutes and thirty-three seconds with the lines, “Of all people, you survived.” The result is a brief, energetic, and fantastic track.

The tracklist for Your Favorite Toy is as follows:

  • “Caught In The Echo”
  • “Of All People”
  • “Window”
  • “Your Favorite Toy”
  • “If You Only Knew”
  • “Spit Shine”
  • “Unconditional”
  • “Child Actor”
  • “Amen, Caveman”
  • “Asking For A Friend”
